These shots from the Local 417 scrapbook show the view our members had while building the second Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Working hundreds of feet above the Hudson, they secured anchor spans weighing a massive 4.8 million pounds.

Found some gems in the 417 scrapbook! ๐Ÿ“ธ These photos show our crew working the historic Newburgh-Beacon Bridge expansion in 1980. At the time, floating these 2,400-ton spans was the largest operation of its kind in the continental U.S..
