The Paper Chain The Paper Chain children's charity gives coats, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and toys to local children in need during the holidays and throughout the year.

The Paper Chain Children's Charity of Wallkill began in 2008 as a Christmas project. A literal paper chain of little people was put up. Each link in the chain contained information about a child in need in Wallkill. Community members took links from the chain and bought gifts for the children. The gift were then wrapped and distributed to children in Wallkill. We have continued this tradition each

year and 2017 will be the 10th Christmas for The Paper Chain project. The Paper Chain Children's Charity of Wallkill has since expanded and now provides coats, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and school supplies to the children of the Wallkill Central School District year round. 100% of all donations the organization receives go directly to items for the children.

We are currently looking for people to “adopt” some young teens to shop for this holiday season. We already got them clothes, but here are their wishlists. Let us know if you can shop for them 🙂 Items can be dropped off at Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan in Wallkill.

Girl 14 - nail kit, paint kit, jewelry
Girl 16 - nail accessories, hair clips, scrunchies, candles

Girl 17 - beanie, ladies 6 slipper socks, lunch bag, candle, hair clips, nail accessories

Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan in Wallkill will once again be putting out a box for donations of new toys and new clothing items with tags. All items should be unwrapped. You can also go to the bank and get a tag with a child’s needs and wishes on it to shop for a particular child.

Boy 11- 2 pair men’s 30x30 jeans, size 5 soccer ball, men’s M/L soccer gloves

Boy 8- boys 10/12 coat, boys 4 snow boots, Legos, Pokemon cards and toys

Girl 9- girls 16 coat, crafts, coloring books

Girl 5- girls 12 snow boots, hat and gloves set, LOL dolls, anything with unicorns, coloring books
