Introducing our newest resident Lacey!!! She is the sweetest old lady we've ever had, but sadly she is on borrowed time due to a cancerous liver tumor, very bad heart disease, and several other life-threatening issues. Her previous owner passed away so the family took her in, but they neglected her keeping her in a kennel day and night in her own filth. The Second Chance Pet Adoption League in Oak Ridge NJ took her in and did a very expensive medical workup to get her on the proper medications.

She eats like she's never going to have another meal and has no concept of house training, but she loves our other residents and enjoys being around them. We will keep her comfortable for her remaining time and give her all the love, treats, and warmth she deserves. As you can see from the video and pics, she chose her bed quickly then promptly took a well-deserved nap.

Xavier got mad at me because he wanted to eat but it was too early so he had himself a little tantrum. Turn on the volume.

The little kids next door love to come over and play with the dogs. The boy has been trying to teach Xavier how to fetch but all he does is chase the ball...he won't bring it back. They give each other a workout!

Every night Lil Abby gives Ms. Ketch a bath...for hours...and Ketch just lays back and enjoys it.

Rico is totally passed out. I'd say he's just a little bit relaxed!

Ever since our new zoomy-ridden guy Xavier arrived the rest of the gang has gotten a little pep in their step. Ketch is in the lead followed by Rico and last but not least our little doxy Abby.

Introducing our newest resident Xavier!!! He is a 12-yr. old Bichon Frise/Min Poodle who is deaf, nearly blind, has arthritis, a heart condition and kidney issues. But he is the liveliest old man we've ever had. As you can see from the videos he loves to run and play, but we think he must have been kept in a kennel most of his life and is just happy to be free. He is the friendliest, sweetest guy who just can't sit still. He is on a lot of meds for his ailments and has adjusted well despite being deaf and almost blind.

It is with much sadness that I let everyone know that we lost our dancing boy Nelson a few days ago. He had a mass in his belly that was so painful it was inhumane to let him continue on even with pain meds. He had been abandoned at a shelter in NJ with a heart condition so we took him in early last year and gave him a life of luxury. He showed us his appreciation by dancing....all the time! He'd wiggle his tail which caused his whole body to shake then he'd stand on his hind legs and move his front paws up and down like he was banging on a drum. He was enthusiastic and entertaining and we will miss his cute face. RIP Nelson!
