🚨 THE FIGHT CONTINUES! 🚨

Our fight to protect a level playing field for responsible contractors and honest work opportunities for our members continues!

We’re taking our message directly to the streets at this four-story, 232-unit multifamily residential project on Route 175 in Newington, Connecticut.

We will not stand by while Callahan Inc. comes into our community and undermines area standards, local contractors, and the ability of local workers to be employed on this high-profile project.

Connecticut workers deserve fair wages. Connecticut taxpayers deserve accountability. Responsible contractors deserve a fair chance to compete.

We will continue exposing wage theft, tax fraud, insurance fraud, and any practices that threaten good jobs and harm our communities.

Together, we will fight for fairness, opportunity, and respect for working people in our community!

Local 326 continues to grow!

We’re proud to welcome 12 newly organized members to Local 326. These members will be going to work with BrandSafway, helping meet the demand for skilled union carpenters.

As our industry partners grow, so do we. Local 326 remains committed to organizing, expanding opportunities, and strengthening our workforce.

Another productive day at Carpenters Local 326.

Today, Miguel Fuentes, Ana Cardona, and David Silvay, had the pleasure of meeting with Paul Haynes, President of Haynes Construction, one of the larger open-shop general contractors based out of Seymour, Connecticut.

We had a candid and open conversation about the construction industry, how we can work together to promote a level playing field, and the importance of creating opportunities for legitimate Connecticut-based subcontractors.

Paul also had the opportunity to engage with several of our young apprentices, who shared their stories and explained why they chose to become part of our apprenticeship program.

All in all, it was a very positive visit. We both walked away with a strong sense of cooperation and the understanding that we have far more in common than not.

Looking forward to continuing the conversation and building productive relationships that benefit Connecticut’s construction industry, workforce, and future.

Out in force and making our presence known. Local 326 showed up at the Connecticut Democratic Convention today because the future of Connecticut should be shaped by the people who build it.

Congratulations to Local 326 member Jake Cometti on an incredible accomplishment. Stories like Jake’s remind us why investing in our members matters.

Jake stood alongside graduates from across our region and shared a journey that reflects what opportunity in the trades can create. With the support of the union and a second chance at higher education, he earned his Associate’s degree in Construction Supervision, has been accepted into his bachelor’s program at Alfred State, and already has his sights set on a master’s degree.

Jake’s path is proof that a career in the Carpenters Union can open doors far beyond the jobsite.

For members interested in pursuing higher education in the construction industry, opportunities continue to grow - Through the North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund participation agreement, members are now eligible to apply and attend Wentworth Institute of Technology, creating another pathway for our brothers and sisters to continue building their future.
