It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our friend, brother, confidant, colleague, and partner in crime, Paul Blanchard, after a long and courageous battle.

As a Coordinator for the North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund, Paul dedicated his career to supporting and mentoring countless apprentices, members, and instructors. His passion for the trade, commitment to training, and unwavering support of those around him helped shape the future of our organization and the carpentry industry.

Paul was an incredibly important part of our family, and his presence, friendship, and spirit touched the lives of so many. He was always willing to lend a hand, share a laugh, and support those who needed him most. It is difficult to imagine a world without him in it.

While words cannot fully express the loss we feel, we take comfort in the memories, friendships, and lasting impact Paul leaves behind. His legacy will live on through the many lives he influenced throughout his career.

Please keep Paul's family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts as we navigate the days and weeks ahead.

Rest easy, Paul. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always a part of our family.

Recently, we proudly hosted the first annual Local 326 Day at Mixville Park!

It was a great day of fellowship, food, and fun as members, retirees, apprentices, contractors, vendors, and families came together to celebrate the strength of our union and the people who make Local 326 what it is.

A sincere thank you to all of our sponsors for your support, and to every member and family who came out to spend the day with us. Events like these remind us that Local 326 is more than a union—it’s a family.

We look forward to making Local 326 Day an annual tradition and continuing to build the bonds that make our Brotherhood and Sisterhood stronger every year.

“Organize, Organize, Organize‼️”

Another victory for Connecticut workers.

Callahan Inc. has long been a council-wide organizing target due to a documented history of carpenter exploitation and labor violations. We are pleased to report that concerns regarding ongoing activity were brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities and investigated.

As a result of that investigation, Stop Work Orders were issued, sending a clear message that the exploitation of workers will not be tolerated in Connecticut.

This is what accountability looks like—workers standing up, organizers exposing unfair labor practices, and government agencies enforcing the law. Together, these efforts help protect workers’ rights and ensure a level playing field for responsible contractors who follow the rules.

Every worker deserves a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work. Every contractor deserves a fair opportunity to compete. When labor laws are enforced, everyone benefits except those who profit from cutting corners and exploiting people.

🔨 Apprentice Spotlight: Moise Zebie 🔨

This week, we’re proud to recognize Moise Zebie, a 2nd-year apprentice who is currently working on a cofferdam installation project in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Moise has demonstrated exceptional determination, grit, and commitment to his craft. Recently, he earned his Connecticut DOT Welding Certification, a significant achievement that reflects the hard work and dedication he brings to the trade every day.

Whether he’s advancing his skills at the North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund training center or contributing on the jobsite, Moise continues to exemplify the work ethic and professionalism that make our apprenticeship program successful.

Congratulations, Moise, on this accomplishment. We look forward to seeing your continued growth and success in the industry!

Another great example of union craftsmanship in action. Our members are crushing it on this micro-pile project with Michels Drilling. From drilling and cutting to grouting and installing DYWIDAG bars, every aspect of this work is being performed by skilled Local 326 Union Piledrivers‼️

The feedback from Michaels has been outstanding, and they're extremely happy with the quality, productivity, and professionalism our manpower continues to deliver.

Projects like this showcase the versatility, skill, and value that our local brings to specialized foundation and deep foundation work every day.

Great job, brothers and sisters—keep up the outstanding work!

Good afternoon ☀️

We’re pleased to share a positive update from a recent follow-up meeting with Paul Haynes and the Haynes Construction team, including Brenda, Principal of Yamblas. Marc, Angie, and I welcomed them to our office and gave them a tour of our training center.

Our discussion centered on shared goals: strengthening Connecticut’s construction industry, investing in workforce development, and supporting a fair, competitive environment for businesses that operate with integrity.

I left encouraged by the collaborative spirit and commitment to solutions that benefit the industry as a whole.

It also brought to mind last night’s Big Table gathering in Wethersfield, where people from diverse backgrounds came together to connect, exchange ideas, and focus on common ground.

By listening, building relationships, and working toward shared goals, we create opportunities for meaningful progress—for our industry, our communities, and the people we serve.

🚨 THE FIGHT CONTINUES! 🚨

Our fight to protect a level playing field for responsible contractors and honest work opportunities for our members continues!

We’re taking our message directly to the streets at this four-story, 232-unit multifamily residential project on Route 175 in Newington, Connecticut.

We will not stand by while Callahan Inc. comes into our community and undermines area standards, local contractors, and the ability of local workers to be employed on this high-profile project.

Connecticut workers deserve fair wages. Connecticut taxpayers deserve accountability. Responsible contractors deserve a fair chance to compete.

We will continue exposing wage theft, tax fraud, insurance fraud, and any practices that threaten good jobs and harm our communities.

Together, we will fight for fairness, opportunity, and respect for working people in our community!

We’re proud to welcome 12 newly organized members to Local 326. These members will be going to work with BrandSafway, helping meet the demand for skilled union carpenters.
