Carpenters Local 326 is proud to host our 8th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk this Sunday, October 4th, at Bushnell Park in Hartford.

Every year, our members, families, friends, and community come together for something bigger than ourselves — to support survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and stand with everyone continuing the fight against breast cancer.

Building Skills. Expanding Our Scope. Creating Opportunities.

Carpenters Local 326 is committed to finding new ways to create work opportunities for our members and expand the footprint of union carpentry throughout Connecticut.

This week, the North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund hosted Brownstone Construction for a seminar focused on liquid-applied finishes, along with Tremco, who provided training for our members on Dryvit installation.

Brownstone Construction is an aggressive, forward-thinking general contractor focused on delivering total construction solutions, particularly in the retail market. Partnerships like this give our members the opportunity to develop new skills while positioning our contractors and workforce to pursue additional scopes of work.

As the construction industry evolves, we have to evolve with it. That means training for new systems, strengthening relationships with contractors and manufacturers, and making sure Local 326 members are prepared to perform the work safely, efficiently, and at the highest level.

More skills. More scopes. More work for Local 326 members.

Endorsement Alert: The support of Connecticut Carpenters Local 326 means a great deal to me.

When I served as a Waterbury Alderman, our Good Jobs Ordinance was meant to create opportunities for Waterbury residents, minority contractors, and women in the trades. But statutory issues kept it from being enforced. I led a task force to rewrite the ordinance and establish a permanent liaison committee to oversee it.

I’m proud that this work has helped put local residents, women, and minority contractors to work on Waterbury’s capital projects over the past decade. Thank you to the Carpenters for standing with me and for the work you do in our community.

Honoring Brother Mike “Ike” Iacoviello!

Carpenters Local 326 is proud to stand with Brother Mike Iacoviello, who was honored tonight and presented with the Sam D’Ambrosi Award by Brass City Dems

Mike Iacoviello was recognized by DTC Chairman Ron Napoli Sr. for his service as Chair of the Local 326 Members PAC Committee and for his work as Labor Chair of the Waterbury Good Jobs Initiative.

Mike’s dedication to advocating for working men and women and strengthening the voice of organized labor in his community reflects the values of Local 326.

Congratulations, Brother Mike, on this well-deserved recognition!

September is Construction Su***de Prevention Month.

In our industry, we’re used to looking out for one another on the jobsite. That same commitment needs to extend beyond physical safety. Mental health, stress, substance use, family challenges, and financial pressures can affect any one of us.

Local 326 members and their families have resources available. Through the Carpenters Assistance Program (CAP) and our Employee Assistance Program, our members can access free, confidential support when they need it.

There is strength in asking for help—and strength in checking on a Brother or Sister who may be struggling.

You are not alone. Your life matters. Our Union has your back.

Carpenters Local 326 was proud to join our Brothers, Sisters, and their families from across the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters for this year’s Family Day & Skills Olympics in Millbury, Massachusetts!

The Skills Olympics are a great opportunity to showcase the talent, craftsmanship, and training that define our union, while Family Day reminds us that the Carpenters Union is about more than the work we do—it’s about the families and relationships that make our union strong.

We were also honored to be joined by UBC 2nd General Vice President Pete Rodriguez, making a great day of union pride, craftsmanship, and solidarity even more special.

Thank you to everyone from Local 326 who made the trip and to the NASRCC and North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund for putting together another great event.
