Nine months ago, in January, we first introduced you to Rose McAllister (portrayed by Katherine Forsythe).

Since then, her journey has carried her across a world at war — from the Mediterranean to the burning sands of North Africa, through secret missions, hidden alliances, betrayal, capture, and the ever-tightening grip of the Axis powers.

Again and again, Rose faced impossible odds.

She crossed battle lines, survived the desert, moved through the shadows of occupied territory, and followed a trail that ultimately led her into the dangerous labyrinth of Casablanca — a city of spies, informants, soldiers, fugitives, and secrets where no one was ever quite what they seemed.

Through every installment, Rose’s mission demanded courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering determination to continue the fight.

Now, after nine months of adventure, danger, mystery, and intrigue, The Adventures of Rose McAllister in Shadows of Morocco have reached their end.

We are genuinely saddened to close this chapter. Rose has become far more than simply a character in a story. Through her, we have been able to explore a remarkable generation whose lives were shaped by uncertainty, courage, duty, and sacrifice during the darkest days of the Second World War.

But every great adventure deserves an ending.

And so, with this final installment, we are pleased to share with you the epilogue of Rose McAllister — the final pages of her wartime story, and a glimpse beyond the shadows of Casablanca into the life that awaited her when the guns finally fell silent.

To everyone who has followed Rose from that very first chapter in January, who watched, read, commented, shared, speculated, and joined us on this journey — thank you.

You traveled with her across seas and deserts.

You stood beside her in moments of triumph and peril.

You wondered whether she would survive.

And now, together, we turn the final page.

The mission is complete.

The shadows begin to fade.

But the story of Rose McAllister will remain a part of the Geronimo Foundation for a very long time.

Nine months ago, we invited you to step into the shadows.

What began along the shores of the Mediterranean carried us deep into the deserts of North Africa and, ultimately, into the tangled streets, smoky cafés, hidden rooms, and dangerous intrigues of Casablanca.

Along the way, you followed SOE agent Rose McAllister (portrayed by Katherine Forsythe) —through deception, danger, sacrifice, and a war fought as much in whispers and shadows as on the battlefield.

Although we were deeply disappointed to cancel our planned "Shadows of Morocco" live event, we never wanted the story—and the adventure so many of you have followed for the past nine months—to simply end there.

When we last saw Rose, she had fallen into the hands of German agents. Her mission compromised, her fate uncertain, and her very survival hanging in the balance.

Now, the journey will reach its conclusion.

Over two final installments, the fate of Rose McAllister will at last be revealed.

To everyone who has watched, followed, commented, shared, encouraged us, and allowed yourselves to become part of this adventure— thank you. Your enthusiasm for Rose’s story and for Shadows of Morocco has meant more to us than we can properly express.

More importantly, thank you for continuing to support The Geronimo Foundation and the charitable work that remains at the heart of everything we do. Events may change, plans may sometimes fall away, but the mission does not.

The shadows are gathering one final time.

On behalf of the Geronimo Foundation, Inc., we extend our sincere appreciation to the volunteers of the 3rd Panzer Grenadiers Reenactment Group (3PGD) of New England for supporting the Foundation’s presentation and appearance at the 4th Annual Clays for Charity, hosted by NFL Hall of Famer Adam Vinatieri.

The story of the Second World War cannot be properly told from only one side. To understand the tremendous accomplishments and sacrifices of the Allied nations, we must also understand the Axis forces they confronted, the equipment they faced, and the historical circumstances in which those men and women fought.

The volunteers of the 3PGD did an outstanding job providing the historical foil to our Allied representation. As these photographs show, their commitment went far beyond simply putting on a uniform. From their field encampment and period equipment to their motorcycle and sidecar, personal gear, and carefully assembled impressions, they helped create a tangible glimpse into another era.

Living history is, at its heart, about education. The amateur historians who dedicate themselves to interpreting all aspects of the Second World War invest countless hours researching uniforms, equipment, vehicles, organizations, and the experiences of the people who lived through the conflict. Their efforts allow members of the public to encounter history in a way that books and photographs alone sometimes cannot provide.

Presenting an Axis impression is not a celebration of the ideology it represented. Rather, historically responsible interpretation helps provide the context necessary to understand the magnitude of the struggle faced by the Allied nations and the extraordinary cost of ultimately achieving victory.

We commend the members of the 3rd Panzer Grenadiers Reenactment Group for their professionalism, historical knowledge, enthusiasm, and willingness to support the Geronimo Foundation’s educational mission at Clays for Charity.

On behalf of The Geronimo Foundation, Inc., we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Lisa Paul, a dedicated volunteer and enthusiastic participant in virtually everything the Foundation undertakes.

From the countless hours of behind-the-scenes work that so often goes unseen and uncredited, to helping us prepare and staff historical displays for municipal Boards of Education, community programs, special events, and so much more, Lisa has always been extraordinarily generous with her time, energy, and labor. When something needs to be done, Lisa is very often already there helping to make it happen.

This photograph from the 4th Annual Clays for Charity, hosted by NFL Hall of Famer Adam Vinatieri, says volumes—even if it does so with a wonderfully unintended bit of tongue-in-cheek humor. Standing beside a sign proclaiming “GIRLS WANTED,” Lisa seems to have found the perfect backdrop.

Living history has traditionally been a field heavily populated by male amateur historians and reenactors. Lisa, however, has never been content simply to stand on the sidelines. She rolls up her sleeves, gets involved, learns, contributes, and blazes a commendable trail entirely her own.

That is precisely what the living-history community needs more of.

The study and interpretation of history are enriched when more people bring their enthusiasm, curiosity, talents, and perspectives to the field. Lisa exemplifies that spirit, and the Geronimo Foundation is tremendously fortunate to have her as part of our team.

Thank you, Lisa, for everything you do—both in front of the public and, perhaps even more importantly, for all those things you quietly accomplish when no one is watching.

Set amid an incredible 3,500 acres of pristine New England wilderness and trails, The Preserve is far more than a sporting club—it is a luxury outdoor-focused residential community and resort where world-class recreation and refined hospitality come together. This decision was not made lightly. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to present the event at the level of quality, care, and immersive experience that you deserve and that we had promised to deliver. Rather than offer anything less than the standard we set for ourselves, we have made the painful decision to cancel the event as scheduled.

We know many of you were looking forward to this evening, and we are deeply sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this causes. Your enthusiasm, support, and belief in this event have meant a great deal to us, which makes sharing this news all the more difficult.

If you have already purchased a ticket please note a full refund for 100% of your ticket purchase has been initiated through Zeffy and will be returned to your original method of payment. Zeffy advises that most refunds are processed within a few days, though in some cases it may take up to 10–14 business days. The Geronimo Foundation is proud and excited to announce Braeden Turski, a recent graduate of Cheshire High School, as the 2026 recipient of the Frank Castiglione Memorial Scholarship.

The Geronimo Foundation, Inc. is committed to the importance of meaningful history lessons in middle school and high school. Our college scholarship is awarded annually to college-bound seniors who demonstrate a love of history and learning. Through this scholarship, we hope to encourage students to continue their passion for social studies beyond high school while recognizing those who have shown a genuine dedication to learning, understanding, and preserving history.

The scholarship was presented by Mark Castiglione, son of its namesake, PFC Frank Castiglione, who served proudly as a paratrooper with the legendary 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, of the 101st Airborne during World War II.

Fittingly, the presentation took place at the hobby shop Frank opened in Branford, Connecticut, after returning home from the war (Branford Hobbies) —a meaningful setting that reflects his enduring legacy of service, community, and lifelong appreciation for history.

Congratulations, Braeden! We are honored to recognize your achievements and wish you continued success as you begin the next chapter of your education!
