Shout out to our Majors team, sponsored by Sweet Home Vacation Getaways, as they battle their way into the semifinals of the end-of-season tournament! They take the field at 10:15 AM, and with a win, will head to the Championship Game at 12:00 PM!

Shoutout as well to our Minors team, sponsored by Ya-Hots Video Country Store, who play their semifinal game at 3:30 PM. Win that one, and they’re off to the Championship Game at 5:15 PM!

We are so proud of both teams and the hard work they’ve put in all season.

📢WALDPORT WRESTLING NEEDS YOU! 🤼‍♂️

The Waldport Junior League Sports Association is looking for dedicated volunteers to help coach our wrestling program for both youth and middle school athletes.

Requirements:
✔️ Must be 18 years or older
✔️ Able to pass a USA Wrestling background check
✔️ Complete required training to obtain a USA Wrestling coaching card

WJLSA will reimburse the cost of the background check and coaching card for committed volunteers.

Ideal candidates:
• Have wrestling experience
• Are willing to travel on weekends for youth wrestling events
• Want to make a positive impact on local kids

Wrestling in Waldport has a strong history of success, and we need our community to step up and help keep that tradition alive! Be the mentor the youth of Waldport needs to have in their corner!

💚 A huge thank you to the City of Waldport 💚

WJLSA would like to sincerely thank the City of Waldport for the care, improvement, and ongoing management of our softball and baseball fields. Your support means so much to our players, families, and community.

A special thank you to Mike and the Public Works crew for your quick response to any and all safety concerns and for always being there to support us — it truly does not go unnoticed.

We are also incredibly grateful for the continued support from city staff, Robin, Megan, and Dann, who are always there for us and especially our City Council. Thank you for attending our celebration at Kendall Memorial Fields. It meant so much to us to have you there.

We appreciate all that you do for our programs more than we can say.

📣 WJLSA is Looking for Cheer Coaches! 📣

We’re excited to start gearing up for our fall season and are looking for enthusiastic, positive cheer coaches to join our WJLSA family!

✨ Ideal candidates:
• Have cheer experience
• Are 18 years or older
• Can complete a volunteer application & agreement
• Are willing to submit a background check

📅 Season Details:
Our cheer season runs about 8 weeks, from September through late October. Our team will cheer on our WJLSA Flag Football league, with some special opportunities to also cheer at middle school and high school football games!

💗🥳This is a great opportunity to make an impact, build confidence in young athletes, and be part of something fun and rewarding.
