The Wakefield Independence Day Committee held its Annual Meeting October 13 and elected nine members to the Board of Directors. The members then selected the following executive officers: Chair Barbara Worley, Vice Chair Rodney Bedow, Treasurer Harold Regan and Secretary Dave Sidebottom. The remaining Board members are Brian Gallivan, Mike Santiago, Kevin Scheeler, Sue Scofield snd Tom Stapleton.

The WIDC greatly appreciates Maureen Buckley and Dennis Gould for serving two-year terms on the Board and they are planning to continue volunteering on the parade.

We welcome two former grand marshals into service! Shelby Nikitin and family will be coordinating veterans in the parade. Cheryl Dalton will be helping with contracts and individual thank yous.

All for now – next meeting is November 10 at TSB. Look for us at Trunk or Treat October 21 !

The WIDC appreciates the use of The Savings Bank conference room (they welcome community users, see their website).
