Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosted the second annual Wienie 500 (May 22), where six custom vehicles competed on the iconic track. Racing experts and competitors analyzed aerodynamic strategies and the unique challenges of maneuvering these massive creations as they push for victory in this highly anticipated and festive event.

We will be getting an Oscar Mayer wiener mobile - not sure which one but we will welcome it with open buns?

The second helping is better than the first. Watch the full replay ...

Nothing like a little pressure from the Wakefield Daily Item today! This is a good reminder that floats take a LOT of time and preparation. Hard to see how the float in this photo is moving along the road! It's not too late to enter a float. Contact [email protected].

Squirrel!! That's what spotting July 4th Patriotic displays and merch is like! Do you know where these are? Hints in descriptions.

A good time to point out that the Sign Holder form is now on the website - on the Home page - parent fills out.

Also - the date has been set for star painting on the parade route (it's only TWO miles) -- June 13 - 5:00 A.M. (That gives us wiggle room if there's wet weather.) All volunteers welcome to sign up (also on the website - the Volunteer tab.) Kevin Scheeler is Chief Star Man! We will have police detail.

Check out other volunteer options!

Also in the photo is Tino Elnabawi (striped shirt) and Nick Cafarelli.

Think Slice, Pizza & More! at 319 Salem St, Wakefield, but WIDC goes to the main AL Prime Energy office!

Bobby and Angela Brown of Broco Energy increased to Parade Division Sponsor this year and are supporting in memory of Captain John Brown. Bobby met with WIDC’s Bill Boodry (and Barbara Worley) at the lake, and they exchanged many stories of past parades.

Thank you, Broco Energy! Looking forward to seeing that Broco Energy vehicle in the parade!
