🥖✨ Not all bread is created equal!

This week we were treated to a another donation from USA Country Sourdough LLC. While every family receives a loaf of sandwich bread during their pantry visit, these handcrafted artisan sourdough loaves are something extra special.

From crusty country loaves to unique specialty breads, these donations add variety and a little joy to the table. We know some lucky families will be excited to take one home!

Thanks for sharing your craft with our community and helping feed hope, one loaf at a time. 🍞❤️

🥛🍎 Every day in North Carolina schools, perfectly good unopened milk, yogurt, fruit and other food items are thrown away while 1 in 5 children in our state faces food insecurity.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Tri-Area Ministry and a coalition of food recovery and other hunger-relief organizations is asking NC DPI and NC DHHS to update school guidance so unopened dairy items can be safely collected on sharing tables and redirected instead of discarded. States like Virginia and South Carolina are already doing it successfully.

♻️ Less waste.
🍽️ More food for hungry children.
🏫 Smarter use of resources.

Help make a difference by signing and sharing the petition. Click here: http://bit.ly/3QePA2M

Every voice matters—especially those of students, parents, educators, and community members.

Together, we can build a more sustainable, hunger-free North Carolina. 💙

Partnership in Action! 🤝🍎🥖

A huge thank you to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina for connecting us with Lowes Foods, Capital Blvd.

This bin is filled with generous customer donations, but that’s only part of the story. Lowes Foods also regularly donates fresh produce, bakery items, deli products, and non-perishable food to help stock our shelves.

When community members, local businesses, the Food Bank, and Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry work together, great things happen. 💚

Together, we’re helping ensure that our neighbors have access to the food they need.

Just when we thought their trunks couldn’t hold any more donations, another carload arrived at the pantry.

Thank you for helping keep our shelves full and our community fed. You’re making a difference, one packed SUV at a time! 🥫👏
