SATURDAY, our POKER RUN, Lonerider PAWTY and mini-car meet up will kick off to help the rescue dogs of Freedom Ride!

Wake County Speedway Rockstar, Cory Walker, will have his race car on display ... including the FRR logo on the hood for the second season!

We have reserved a HUGE part of the FACTORY parking lot for any car groups (or car indivduals) to join us!!

The Poker run is 11:15 am til 2 pm: get poker cards at Lonerider, Artisan Beer and Cheese, Tar Banks Brewing and Owl's Roost (go to some or all bars: cards available at all four venues)! Prize for best AND worst poker hand!

PAWTY from noon to 5 pm: vendors (several are dog related businesses), adoptable dogs and puppies, raffles - and a DJ starting at 2! YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THE POKER FUN to join the Paw-ty .... and not only maybe meet YOUR next best friend - meet CORY WALKER!

FRR Alum Baylee was adopted in April of this year, and she’s been settling beautifully into her forever home ever since! While she did have to undergo an emergency spay shortly after adoption, this sweet girl has been recovering well and soaking up all the love and comfort her new family has to offer. 💕

🧸 Bay is just now beginning to really come out of her shell, and it has been so heartwarming to watch her personality bloom. She’s discovered the joy of crinkly squeaky toys and has started playing more every day! One thing she already knows for sure? Belly rubs are absolutely the way to her heart. 🐾

😂 Her mom lovingly jokes that Baylee doesn’t actually bark — she “boofs!” It’s more of a tiny little funny sound than a real bark, and it perfectly matches her adorable personality. Everyone who meets her can’t help but smile at her quirky little noises.

🌱 Baylee may still be a bit of a big chicken and gets startled easily, but she’s working hard on building confidence and practicing her social skills every single day. With patience, encouragement, and lots of love, she’s slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. 💛

🐦 One of Baylee’s favorite things is tagging along on her mom’s birdwatching walks and outdoor adventures. Their favorite place to explore together is Brumley Nature Preserve North, where they enjoy peaceful hikes surrounded by nature. And of course, every outing comes with one very important rule — stopping for treats is absolutely required! 🍪🐶

💖 We are so thrilled to see Baylee thriving in a home that understands her gentle spirit and celebrates all of the little things that make her special. Happy tails, sweet girl!

“Hawk” might be her name, but this sweet girl is much more of a tiny woodland creature than a fierce bird of prey. 🥺❤️

After spending her life surviving and raising puppies, Hawk is finally learning how to just be a dog — discovering toys, cuddles, treats, and the safety of being loved. She’s shy, gentle, endlessly sweet, and looking for a patient home where she can keep building confidence one little tail wag at a time.

Join us this Saturday for Freedom Ride Rescue’s 7th Annual THE FREEDOM RIDE!

This all-vehicle poker run is one of our favorite events of the year and we can’t wait to see everyone out supporting rescue dogs while enjoying an amazing day with the community.

The ride kicks off at 11:15 AM with 3–4 stops along the route to collect poker cards, followed by a fantastic dog-friendly party at Lonerider Brewing from 12–5 PM!

Saturday - the PAWTY at Lonerider will have some FANTASTIC raffles plus a 50/50 from noon until 5 pm! (You don't have to do the POKER RUN to come to Lonerider)!

All proceeds will benefit Freedom Ride Rescue!! Tito's donated swag and vodka to us (think raffles AND drink specials), To***co Road Harley-Davidson gave a nice collection .... of COURSE there will be dog toys and FRR swag you can win, too!

We have a great collection of vendors and adoptable dogs ... plus the Factory Parking lot is ready for any car clubs that join us!!

Camera roll full of pictures of your dog sleeping, zooming, blepping, snuggling, just existing: absolutely essential. 📸🐾

In our opinion, that is totally justified.

Just look at Roscoe! 😍 This perfect little model is still searching for his forever family — and we fully expect his future adopters to continue the tradition of taking 6,573 photos of him.

This happy-go-lucky Jack Russell mix is all wagging tails, goofy grins, puppy energy, and cuddle time. He loves to play, explore, make friends, and then curl up beside you soaking up attention. Dog-friendly, cat-friendly, crate-trained, and always serving his best happy face — Kevin is ready to make someone’s life a whole lot brighter. ❤️

This Saturday: join our 7th annual THE FREEDOM RIDE poker run! Register and get your first poker cards ( starting at 10:30 am at Lonerider's THE HIDEOUT) and head out at 11:15 am ... go to three venues for more cards (Owl's Roost, Tar Banks and Artisan Beer & Cheese). We'll have FRR volunteers are all venues to give you cards until 2 pm - and you can buy more to get a better hand!

Not into cards and driving? Then come to the free paw-ty from noon to 5 pm! Lonerider is having Tito's drink specials and we'll have raffles, vendors, adoptabale dogs and puppies - plus a DJ starting at 2 to welcome back THE POKER RIDE folk!

The state dog, the Plott Hound, originated in the mountains of NC in the 1700s. It was adopted as the State Dog in 1989 and the breed was added to the American Kennel Club list of recognized breeds in 1998.

We genuinely need someone to explain how Meander is still available. 😭

This sweet, speckled boy is the LAST of the Poky Puppies still waiting for his forever family to find him! Born on January 20, Meander is a cattle dog/hound mix/mystery mutt masterpiece with striking blue eyes, the cutest speckled coat, and a goofy, lovable personality that keeps everyone smiling.

He’s playful, affectionate, endlessly entertaining, and basically the total puppy package. So… where is his person?!

Let’s get Meander out of the “still available” club and into a forever home where he belongs. ❤️
