Congratulations to our VOD Essay Winner!

We would like to congratulate Eliza Rowan from Watertown-Mayer High School for being selected as this year’s Voice of Democracy (VOD) Essay winner!

This year’s essay prompt was: “How are you showing patriotism and support for our country?”

Eliza’s thoughtful essay stood out and we are proud to recognize her achievement. A special thank you to her teacher, Ms. Mandt, for supporting and encouraging students to participate in this important program.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day 🇺🇸

On November 10th, our Waconia VFW Post 5462 Color Guard, together with members of American Legion Post 150, visited several area nursing homes to present a special Veterans Day Program.

Our goal was to ensure that every Veteran in those facilities was recognized and thanked for their service and sacrifice to our nation.

We are proud to be part of a community that continues to honor and remember those who have worn the uniform. ❤️🤍💙
