A little teamwork made a big difference at Friends for Life! 🌿💙

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who came out to help landscape our main building. We’re so grateful for the time and hard work you put into making our space look beautiful!

Special thanks to Christian with Waco Native Landscaping for generously donating his time and Texas-native plants, and to Laura and Karen for also donating plants to help bring the project to life. 🌱

✨ Ready. Set. Work. ✨

We’re excited to introduce Friends for Life’s newest program, Ready, Set, Work!

This employment readiness program helps adults with disabilities build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to prepare for future employment. From communication and teamwork to interviewing, professionalism, job searching, and more, participants will have the opportunity to learn and grow through hands-on training.

🎨 Plus, through The Artisan Studio, participants can explore their strengths and practice workplace skills while creating handmade items for the community.

Friends for Life is looking for volunteers who want to help seniors and adults with disabilities in our community. Whether you enjoy giving rides, making friendly phone calls, helping with errands, volunteering at the Tool Shed, assisting with small projects, or simply spending time with someone who could use a friend, there’s a place for you.

Sometimes one hour is all it takes to make a difference. ❤️

Friends for Life is looking for volunteers who can help provide transportation for seniors and adults with disabilities in our community. Whether it’s a ride to a doctor’s appointment, the grocery store, or another important errand, your time can help someone stay independent, connected, and safe.

Texas All Abilities Network would like to share an opportunity to recognize the incredible people who make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities throughout our community.

The Bell County Committee for People with Disabilities is now accepting nominations for the 46th Annual Rusty Awards Ceremony – “Country Roads & Community Champions.”

Do you know an advocate, educator, family member, healthcare worker, employer, public employee, service member, athlete, community volunteer, or other outstanding individual or organization who deserves to be recognized? We encourage you to nominate them!
