Sharing the magic of mentoring with future educators! πŸ“šπŸ’›

Today, our Program Director, McKenna Halderman, had the exciting opportunity to present Mentors & Meals to Midway University’s education majors and share how they can make a difference in the lives of middle school students.

Thank you, Dr. Lasky, for the invitation to speak and for helping us connect with the next generation of educators! We love building connections that bring more caring mentors into our students’ lives.

Prevention starts with connection! πŸ’™ This summer, our middle school students learned alongside their mentors through Too Good for Drugsβ€”building skills to make healthy choices and having meaningful conversations together.

Thank you, New Vista and the Woodford County Health Department, for partnering with Mentors & Meals to bring this opportunity to our students. Caring mentors and strong community partnerships make a difference!

Prevention looks different in every community! πŸ’™ Through a partnership with the Woodford County Health Department and Mentors & Meals, Too Good For Drugs was implemented this summer with middle school students learning alongside their high school and college-aged mentors. The smaller group setting has encouraged meaningful engagement and discussion, proving that prevention programs can thrive in a variety of spaces and formats.
