Woodford County DYW was named as the 5th highest local program in Kentucky for scholarship funds raised. Thank you to everyone who helped us get there. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Preliminary #1 is complete! Claire competed in talent tonight and she had a huge group of supporters to cheer her on. Tomorrow morning she competes in fotness and self-expression.

Claire Poole won the title of Distinguished Young Woman of Woodford County! 💛

This is an outstanding program that seeks to bring out the best in each of its participants. When asked about her favorite part of the program, Claire says, "It was so much fun to do this with my best friends! It allowed me to grow as a person and grow my interview, communication, and collaboration skills." She adds, "It was so fun to get out of my comfort zone. I've never done anything like this! It was very rewarding."

We love hearing how our students grew during the Distinguished Young Women program. Claire says, "No matter the outcome, you're going to come out of this experience with new friendships and new skills." How wonderful! We are so proud of all of the participants!

We are so happy for you, Claire, and we are cheering you on as you prepare to represent Woodford County at the Distinguished Young Women of Kentucky program! Claire explains that she is honored and grateful to have had this experience, and she is excited to represent Woodford County at State!

📣 IMPORTANT PARKING INFO 📣

Today the parking lot off of School House Road, closet to the auditorium, will not be available for parking. (See photo)

➡️ Park in the lot closest to the gym doors using the entrance off of Tyrone Pike (SEE PHOTO for Green area)
➡️ Parking is also available at the Middle School

The auditorium doors will be open at 2pm for seating. We will have tickets for sale until we sell out! Concessions will also be available before the show and during intermission.

We can’t wait to see you all at 2:30pm when our Class of 2026 takes the stage!
