In this class, we’ll dip into the science of habit formation and how you can train your brain to work with you instead of against you. We’ll discuss the Habit Loop (cue; routine; and reward) along with some simple steps to help you make your new habit stick.

We want to celebrate Selin Demir, one of our early board members, as she completes her service in an official capacity on our Board of Directors. Over the last four years, Selin has held many roles on the board, leading our Strategic Planning Committee, hosting community gatherings and monthly potlucks, and continues to play an instrumental role on our Chapter Development Committee, helping our mission grow beyond Vashon Island.

We are deeply grateful for Selin’s service, leadership, and love for this community, and for every board member who has helped carry this mission forward with care, commitment, and heart.

Join Margie Schilling Butcher and a group of women on Wednesday, June 3, at 5:30 at Women Hold the Key for our monthly Movie & Supper Club. (Potluck!)

We’ll gather to watch The Friend, starring Naomi Watts and Bill Murray. The film follows Iris, a writer and teacher whose quiet New York life is upended when her closest friend and mentor suddenly passes away and leaves her his beloved 150-pound Great Dane, Apollo. What begins as chaos slowly becomes a tender story about grief, friendship, healing, and rediscovering one’s creative life.

We’ll start with 30 minutes of supper and catching up, then settle in for the movie, followed by a short, casual discussion.

Please bring a dish to share.
We’ll provide plates, water, and popcorn. Adult beverages are welcome.

Come for the movie. Stay for the connection.
