This Sunday, March 17th, BBRC will kick off the Spring season at our annual Burton Beach Invitational. Fourteen clubs from all over Washington and Oregon will compete beginning at 8am. Join us at Point Jensen to watch some amazing youth racing!

HEAD of the LAKE: Gorgeous weather and fantastic racing at UW today. Wonderful way for Burton Beach rowers to say goodbye to the fall season and move into a much need rest before starting winter training. Congratulations to all of our rowers and medalists. Ella Odegard, Junior Women’s 1x GOLD, Briar Guenther 1x Junior Men’s 1x SILVER, Ella Odegard and Paige Gibbons U17 2x SILVER, Briar Guenther and Will Parker U17 SILVER, Forest Macnab and Nate Wass de Czege Men’s Youth 2x BRONZE. BBRC finished 10th out of 68 clubs. Thank you to our coach Richard Parr. Go BBRC!

HEAD OF THE CHARLES: 792 clubs competed at this years regatta. Burton Beach Crews raced on Sunday. First up was the Men's Youth Coxed Quad, Grant Gonter, Forest Macnab, Nate Wass de Czege, Briar Guenther, and coxswain Caroline Barnes. Finished 29th of 47 boats. Women's Youth Coxed Quad, Taylor Huffman, Paige Gibbons, Haley Hopper, Keziah Rutschow, and coxswain Brisa Ordonez. Finished 28th of 50 entries. Women's Youth Double, Sacia Thompson and Ella Odegard. Finished 35th out of 53 boats. Racing on the Charles River, coupled with the opportunity to travel with their friends and team mates and take in some Boston sights rounded out an amazing week. So proud of all of the crew. Thankful for chaperone parents and of course the Burton Beach Rowing Club coach.
