We are incredibly grateful to the Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation for helping make life-changing experiences possible for our veterans and their families.

With their generous support, we provided adaptive lessons, specialized equipment, and lift access to 53 wounded veterans and their families through our programs this winter!

Because of partners like Epic Promise Foundation, our Nation’s Heroes and their families are empowered to build confidence, strengthen family bonds, and discover new possibilities on the slopes.

Thank you for helping us create moments of healing, growth, and connection that extend far beyond the mountains.

Today, Vail Veterans Program pays tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and devotion have shaped the freedoms we cherish. We honor their legacy with enduring gratitude and remembrance.

“What Memorial Day Means To Me”

Memorial Day always reminds me
Of those we lost on air, land, and sea
From the Revolutionary War to Today’s battles
These Soldiers looked death in the face and never rattled
The road to freedom is bathed in blood, sweat, and tears
These were the Soldiers who held back our fears
Freedom, they say is never free
The ultimate sacrifice of their lives they gave to this creed
So, many lives will continue to be lost
It seems Freedom does come as a cost
To empty chairs at the dinner table
I say sit and enjoy as you are able
For these men went gladly overseas
So, we can eat today totally free
So, for me fighting and dying for a cause you cannot see
Is, what Memorial Day means to me

Today we honor and thank the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War. On National Vietnam War Veterans Day, we recognize the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of Vietnam veterans and their families.

Established by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, this day marks March 29, 1973, when the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam.

We are proud to stand alongside Vietnam veterans in honoring their legacy of service and strength. Their experiences and sacrifices continue to shape the veteran community and inspire future generations.

Today and every day, we remember their service and express our deepest gratitude.
