A few weeks ago, the Tuscarora Wayne Mutual Foundation gave our agency an incredible opportunity: they selected Loman-Ray Insurance to choose a local organization to receive a $3,000 donation.

Our team didn't have to think long. We chose Crisis Nursery.

Crisis Nursery provides 24-hour emergency care for children and support for families during their hardest moments... work that quietly prevents child abuse and neglect every single day. They are there at 2 PM and at 2 AM, for any family, no questions asked. We're proud to help shine a light on what they do.

Over the past month, Crisis Nursery has worked to stabilize staffing within our Safe Children Program, ensuring families have access to the emergency childcare and support they need. Now, we're focused on building our Strong Families team - and we're looking for compassionate, relationship-driven Family Specialists to join us!

Family Specialists walk alongside families during the critical early years of a child's life, building trusting relationships, honoring each family's strengths, and supporting parents as the experts on their own children.

As a Family Specialist, you'll:

✨ Meet families where they are - both physically and emotionally
✨ Support parents in reaching their own goals
✨ Partner with community organizations to create a system of care

Thank you to WCIA 3 News for helping us share a positive update with our community!

In late April, we shared that staffing shortages had temporarily required us to reduce overnight care operations. Today, we're grateful to share a positive update: thanks to an incredible response from our community, we have successfully hired new team members and expect to return to normal overnight operations in the coming weeks as training is completed.

To everyone who shared our message, helped spread the word, referred candidates, or reached out with encouragement—thank you. Your support helped us connect with a wonderful group of individuals who are joining our team and helping us continue our mission of keeping children safe and families strong.

We also want to extend our gratitude to our current staff. Over the past several weeks, they have stepped up in extraordinary ways, adjusting schedules, covering additional shifts, and ensuring children and families continued to receive the care and support they needed.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during this temporary challenge. We are excited to welcome new team members, support our existing staff, and continue providing 24/7 care for children and families in our community. 💙

After having to temporarily pause overnight care due to staffing shortages, an emergency childcare facility said they’re close to bringing it back.
