A heartfelt thank you to Everyday Quilting for donating these beautiful handmade quilts to Crisis Nursery!

These quilts will be used by children during their time in our Safe Children Program, providing an extra layer of warmth and comfort while they are away from home. Children can snuggle up with them during quiet time, rest, read a book, or simply have something soft and comforting nearby as they adjust to a new environment.

For a child experiencing a difficult or uncertain moment, something as simple as a cozy quilt can help create a sense of comfort, security, and belonging.

Thank you, Everyday Quilting, for putting so much care into each quilt and helping us create a warm, nurturing environment where children can feel safe and loved. 🧵

💙 Thank You, C-U Relays! 🏊‍♀️

What an incredible tradition! Since 2018, the C-U Relays have brought local high school swimmers and divers together for a morning of friendly competition, friendship - and giving back to the community.

This year, 72 girls’ swimmers and divers from Urbana, Champaign Central, Centennial, Uni High, St. Thomas More and Mahomet-Seymour came together not only as athletes, but as community champions.

Teams and families collected snacks, diapers and Pull-Ups to support the children in Crisis Nursery’s care. After the meet, swimmers, divers and coaches delivered their generous donations to our Touch-A-Truck event.

A special thank you to Two Men and a Truck for helping transport all of the in-kind donations from Touch-A-Truck back to Crisis Nursery! Your generosity helped make sure these much-needed items made it safely to the children and families who need them. 🚚

We are so grateful to these young women, their coaches, families, volunteers and Two Men and a Truck for making this possible. Your generosity reminds us that our community is strongest when we come together.

Excited to see this!

We were honored to be 1 of 3 nurseries nationwide that the San Antonio cohort visited as they prepared to pilot and launch a nursery in Texas.

We also want to take a moment to thank our community of supporters and partners who make our Nursery possible - the resource you help provide to families and children here in Champaign County is so important. For over 40 years, this community continues to show up & invest in our mission. It’s something we cherish each and every day. 💙
