Happy Flag Day to you too! 🇺🇲❤️🫡

Today, June 14, is a meaningful day in American history as we celebrate the official adoption of the United States flag. On this day in 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution establishing the original Stars and Stripes as the national flag of the United States. That first flag represented a young nation’s unity, courage, and hope for freedom.

Flag Day is a time to honor the red, white, and blue and reflect on what the American flag stands for. It represents liberty, sacrifice, resilience, and the shared history of the American people. From homes and schools to government buildings and military bases, the flag remains a powerful symbol of pride and patriotism.

June 14 is also a double celebration because it marks the official birthday of the United States Army, which was created in 1775. For more than two centuries, the Army has served and protected the nation with dedication, strength, and bravery.

So today, we celebrate both the Stars and Stripes and the proud legacy of the United States Army. May this day remind us of the values of freedom, service, unity, and patriotism.
