A new chapter begins in Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸✨

APAPA’s Capitol Internship Program kicked off on September 26, giving interns a chance to hear from experienced leaders and get ready for the opportunities ahead in D.C.

DC Ambassadors Jacob Harrer and Han Li shared guidance on networking and navigating D.C., while Stella The offered insight into her journey from APAPA intern to a career in policy.

Thank you to NCAPA for hosting us and to everyone who made this kickoff possible. Congratulations, interns! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish! 💛

APAPA has issued a statement in response to recent reporting about our organization and individuals associated with it.

APAPA is an American, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to leadership development, civic engagement and public service. We have no organizational relationship with the Chinese government, the Chinese Communist Party or the United Front.

We are deeply concerned when ancestry, ethnic background or personal associations are used to question an American’s loyalty or imply a foreign allegiance. Being of Asian descent or having family roots in another country does not make anyone less American. No American should have to prove their loyalty because of how they look or where their family came from.

We will continue standing up for our members, volunteers, students and chapter leaders while remaining focused on serving communities across America.

As one of APAPA’s founding members, Dr. Fong has played an important role in our organization’s history while building an extraordinary career spanning more than four decades in the biotechnology industry and biomedical research.

July was a month of leadership, partnership, and community in action.

Across the country, APAPA chapters, volunteers, interns, partners, and supporters came together to create opportunities that strengthen our communities and empower the next generation.

This month, we:
✨ Launched Tri-Valley's inaugural Summer Bridge Program
🏛️ Expanded pathways to public service through the Government Appointments Committee
🤝 Celebrated organizations making a difference in our communities
🌿 Hosted community wellness and reflection workshops through Arts in California Parks
🇺🇸 Celebrated Independence Day alongside our chapters and volunteers
🎥 Began preserving APAPA's 25-year legacy through our anniversary film

Every event, partnership, and conversation reflects the mission that has guided APAPA for the past 25 years: developing leaders, strengthening communities, and advancing civic engagement.
