rebelTHON The University of Mississippi's student-run Dance Marathon benefitting Children's of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi. We dance for those who can't.

Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement involving college and high school students at more than 150 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. The fundraising year culminates with a 12 hour long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games and entertainment in celebration of the total amount raised that year.

Why stay on your feet for that long? To quote the first Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Dance Marathon’s mission statement: “We dance for those who can’t.” It is this solidarity to – and connection with – the cause that makes Dance Marathon an event unlike any other. For 15 years, RebelTHON has been powered by compassion, resilience, and a shared belief that together, we can change kids’ health.☀️🪁🌈

What began as a group of students with a purpose has grown into a legacy of hope. Along the way, our Champion Families have reminded us why we dance, why we fundraise, and why this mission matters. Their strength, courage, and joy inspire us every step of the way.

Every Champion Kid, Champion Family, student leader, donor, volunteer, advisor, alumni member, and supporter has helped shape the story of RebelTHON. Because of you, we’ve built a community rooted in service, hope, and the belief that every child deserves the best possible care. As we celebrate 15 years, we’re filled with gratitude for the journey behind us and excitement for the road ahead. Our greatest impact is still to come. Together, we’ll continue reaching greater heights, creating more miracles, and standing beside the children and families who inspire our mission every day.

IGNITING OUR PASSION IN INDIANAPOLIS ☀️🪁🌈

This weekend, four of our executive officers had the opportunity to attend Ignite, a peer-to-peer leadership conference in Indianapolis!

They learned from staff, built connections with fellow Dance Marathon programs from across the country, and met inspiring Champion families.

We are incredibly honored to have received the Ryan White Award for Overcoming Adversity, recognizing the resilience, determination, and heart of RebelTHON. This award belongs to every student, advisor, donor, Champion family, and supporter who has helped us continue our mission through every challenge.

We can’t wait to bring everything we learned back to Oxford as we celebrate 15 years of RebelTHON and continue making an even greater impact for Children’s of Mississippi.
