This week, Ole Miss Business Club had the pleasure of welcoming Morgan Tucker, former Chick-fil-A Owner/Operator and current financial planning professional, for an insightful discussion on entrepreneurship, personal branding, and professional growth.

Morgan shared her experiences navigating career transitions, emphasizing the importance of moving with intention, mastering your craft, and building authentic relationships. She reminded our members that success isn’t just about where you start, but the decisions, connections, and opportunities you make along the way.

From embracing discomfort to developing a strong personal brand, her message reminded us that success is built through consistency, character, and meaningful connections.

AI is changing the way we work, create, and prepare for our careers!

At just one of the OMBC meetings for this week, we took a deeper look at how artificial intelligence can be used beyond the chatbot, from improving productivity and creative thinking to developing skills that employers are looking for.

Members also had the opportunity to explore AI tools firsthand, build personalized assistants, and discover practical ways to incorporate AI into their everyday academic and professional lives using how to encode ChatGPT & Gemini in order to delegate tasks/responsibilities. Such as, having Gemini go through your emails to inform you what are your top priorities, way?

Use AI to work smarter, but never stop thinking for yourself.

From our very own President, Hailey Helterbran, and her journey with OMBC:

“I initially joined OMBC to connect with students who shared my passion for business, but I quickly realized how much potential this organization had. From starting in member engagement to now serving as President, OMBC has challenged me to grow as a leader, build meaningful relationships, and turn ideas into opportunities that benefit others.

Watching OMBC become the second-largest student organization at Ole Miss has been an incredible milestone, but what I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built and the opportunities we’ve created for our members. Seeing students land internships, connect with business professionals, and step into leadership roles makes all the hard work worthwhile.

My goal is to leave OMBC stronger than I found it, with lasting partnerships and programs that continue opening doors for students. My biggest advice is to put yourself out there, take initiative, and never underestimate the opportunities that can come from simply showing up. You don’t need a title to make an impact, just the willingness to get involved and put in the effort.”

Another great OMBC meeting in the books!

This week, our members got the chance to network AND compete at the Red Bull Wings Cup! From connecting with fellow business students to going head-to-head in EA SPORTS FC™ 27, it was such a fun way to bring a little competition into our Tuesday night meeting.

This summer, Martin Lydauet made a lasting impact during his internship with Celerity Clinical Research, working across digital strategy, technology, branding, and patient acquisition.

Martin led the redesign of Celerity’s digital presence, helping transform the company’s original website into three distinct platforms: a central Hub, a Sponsors site for pharmaceutical companies and CROs, and a Patients site designed to make clinical research opportunities more accessible.

He also developed and improved internal applications using React and Supabase, including inventory management and room-booking and visitor-management systems designed to streamline everyday operations.

Beyond development, Martin rebuilt Celerity’s 2026 commercial deck, redesigned country and site profiles, and helped strengthen brand consistency across the network. He also supported Junto a Ti by creating and managing Meta advertising campaigns that successfully began driving prospective patient submissions to the platform.

From web development and user experience to branding, marketing, and internal operations, Martin’s work touched nearly every aspect of Celerity’s digital presence. We’re excited to highlight the impact he made throughout his internship!
