Looking for ways to connect ๐Ÿค and empower ๐Ÿ’ช yourself this week? Methow At Home has just the event for you!

๐Ÿ“† May 12- If you haven't joined us for a Tech Tuesday event yet then make sure to check it out soon! Technology can be frustrating, but our savvy Tech guides and lectures will ease your tech woes. Please join us for this 1-on-1 support session, reserve your time slot through our website, show up with your device and your question. Our helpful tech gurus will be available to walk you through your tech issue.

๐Ÿ“† May 14 - It's our annual member & volunteer potluck. We love celebrating our community so come on out, bring a dish to share and your own dish & utensils to eat on. We'll be gathering at the Mazama Community Club picnic area this year.

๐Ÿ“† May 15 - Senior Advanced Auto Tech student Lucas Tufte will be performing complimentary vehicle checks to help ensure your car is ready for summer driving. Using an industry-standard inspection checklist, Lucas will review key systems and provide personalized recommendations as needed.

While Lucas wonโ€™t be making repairs, youโ€™ll receive a take-home checklist that will identify things that need attention. This is a great opportunity to support a dedicated student completing his Capstone projectโ€”and to get peace of mind before hitting the road this summer!

๐Ÿ“† May 15 - Our first Open Book Club was so much fun we decided to keep it rolling. Join FOWL and Methow At Home for an afternoon of sharing our favorite reads with each other. No assigned reading- just a shared love of reading and inspiring someone else's next great read!

Methow At Home is proud to offer most of our programming free to the community. If youโ€™re able, a $5โ€“$10 donation per session helps sustain and expand these offerings. Bring some cash to the event to drop in our donation jar.

Growing older doesn't have to mean stepping back from life โ€” it can mean stepping into it differently. Volunteering fills the space left by reduced work hours with something better than busy: meaningful connection. That retired carpenter building wheelchair ramps. The former teacher transforming struggling readers. The bookkeeper serving as a board treasurer. Your skills didn't expire when your career did. ๐Ÿ’› Read our latest blog post on why volunteering might be the most enriching thing you do as you age. www.methowathome.org/blog

Watch this documentary at the Twisp Valley Grange on June 4th ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿฟ

Keys Bags Names Words shows intimate profiles of real people living with dementia and their care partners, doctors discussing what you can do to support brain health and prevent cognitive decline, musicians, artists and worldwide policy experts engaged in bold approaches to leading the global challenge for health and social care in the 21st century.

๐Ÿ’ซThis film is not a lament to loss, but an inspiring celebration of the human spirit ๐Ÿ’ซ

Following the screening, we will host a moderated talk-back discussion and share information about local Methow Valley resources and support services.

We hope that you can join us!

Share your favorite book with us!๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ“ฃ

Join FOWL and Methow At Home for a relaxed and welcoming Open Book Club โ€” a chance to share what youโ€™re currently reading or a favorite book from the past.

Each participant will have about two minutes to tell us about their book. You might inspire someoneโ€™s next great read โ€” and discover a few new titles yourself! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbors, share stories, and celebrate our shared love of reading.

No assigned reading โ€” just bring yourself and a book youโ€™d like to share. Registration not required but helpful to let us know you are coming. We hope youโ€™ll join us! ๐Ÿ“š

โœ๏ธNO EXPERIENC NECESSARY - write with us Thursday (5/7)!

We're NOT trying to write the next great American novel - we're just capturing stories, so don't let your skill level deter you from participating.

Marian Exall, author of historical fiction and ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ mystery novels will be facilitating a fun afternoon of writing. We'll alternate discussion with writing and the chance to share your writing with the group if you're comfortable.

Let's have some fun - join us!
