Just add water - lots of water!
Today's flow on the Methow actually exceeds the high water peak last summer. While that is unusual, it is exactly the type of event that we built the Sugar Left project for over the past several months. This drone image shows the newly re-established connections to the historic floodplain just above the Town of Twisp.

Be careful on the rivers right now!
When flows are this high the rivers are doing a lot of needed work to move sediment, sort gravels, and connect with their floodplains - all of which are really helpful for salmon. But, high flows can also lead to bank saturation and slides, so be cautious!
