One of the best parts of summer at The Merc is watching young performers grow in confidence and creativity!

This week, our Shrek Kids campers have been working hard to bring this hilarious story to life, and now they’re ready to show off their hard work!

Bring your family, invite your friends, and help us celebrate these incredible young actors.

Doors open 30 minutes before show time. We have some fun swamp-themed treats available for purchase. Tickets are by donation.

Please join us in welcoming back our talented directing team for this year's Summer Theater Camp, Megan and Angie! They are so excited to kick off camp today!

Their enthusiasm, creativity, and love for working with young performers are a huge part of what makes our theater camps so special. We can't wait to see Shrek Kids come to life!

We're so excited to welcome Ellie as the Merc Playhouse's new Bookkeeper!

Ellie has deep roots in the Methow Valley and a heart for serving our community. With years of experience supporting local nonprofits, Ellie brings a wealth of knowledge, organization, and care to our team.

Her family also has a special connection to The Merc, her daughter participated in Merc productions as a child!

Theater gives kids a place to be brave, make new friends, solve problems, think creatively, and discover what they're capable of, all while having an incredible time bringing a story to life.

During our one-week program, campers will:

✨ Build confidence
🎨 Spark creativity
🗣️ Strengthen communication skills
🤝 Learn teamwork
🌟 Step outside their comfort zone

Whether your child has performed before or is stepping onto the stage for the very first time, they'll leave with unforgettable memories and confidence that carries into school, friendships, and everyday life.

Step into the storybook swamp with Shrek Kids! Join us for a week of acting, music, friendship and theatrical fun for ages 8–18.

🌿 Session 1: August 3–8
Performances: Friday at 4 PM and Saturday at 2 PM

🌿 Session 2: August 10–15
Performances: Friday at 4 PM and Saturday at 2 PM

Camp runs daily from 9 AM–4 PM. Tuition is $250, with scholarships available.
