Session One of our Sustainable Living Workshops was a success!

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful teachers, Susan and Jean, for showing us how to dehydrate fruits and ferment veggies.

Not only did we get to taste wonderful food, we were also able to learn new skills that will help us live more sustainably!

If you missed this workshop, no worries! Our next one will be Tuesday, September 1st. We will be learning about tool maintenance and sharpening.

If you were not able to join us for our Food Preservation Workshop, have no fear, our next workshop (Tool Repair & Maintenance) is Tuesday, September 1st at Twisp Works from 5pm to 7pm!

You will learn how to repair and sharpen you tools using various equipment and techniques!

These classes are free and all ages are welcome! We ask that children be accompanied by an adult for the duration of class. Thank you!

The first class in our Sustainable Living Skills Series is Food Preservation!

Learn how to safely dehydrate fruits and ferment veggies to extend the life of your produce! Become familiar with techniques to make your own kimchi and fruit leathers!

Are you wanting to learn some new skills or just looking for a fun, free experience for the end of summer?

Methow Recycles is happy to announce our Sustainable Living Skills Workshops! We have 3 upcoming classes for you to choose from. You can attend one or you can attend all three! Bring a friend or bring your child (we kindly ask that any children have parent/legal guardian supervision for the duration of the class. Thank you!)

Tuesday, August 25th - Food Preservation
Safely dehydrate fruits and ferment veggies to extend the life of your produce. Learn how to make kimchi and different kinds of fruit leather.

Tuesday, September 1st - Tool Sharpening
Learn how to repair and care for your tools by using various equipment to sharpen tools and kitchen knives.

Tuesday, September 22nd - Reupholstery
Bring your own barstool or dining room chair to learn the basics of reupholstery including fabric selection, techniques, and tool usage.
