The Kristen Amerson Youth Foundation was created to carry on the memories and legacy of Kristen Amerson. Kristen was a young lady who loved fashion, creating unique hairstyles, experimenting with make-up, dancing, and a host of other activities. She exhibited a strong, loving, and caring attitude with a smile that brightened the day of loved ones and community members alike. On April 10, 2014, Kri
sten took her own life after struggling with bullying, and loved ones will always wonder what her life might have held. Kristen never got the chance to meet her potential, or to find her purpose, and her family vowed to keep her spirit alive, which is the inspiration for the Kristen Amerson Youth Foundation. It is the purpose of the foundation is to provide early intervention, success-coaching, outreach, and advocacy services, to young men and women. The organization’s goal being to prevent su***de amongst youth and adolescents. The foundation will also work to provide services to increase awareness of su***de and bullying amongst the younger generation. It is our hope that these services will empower youth by providing educational support to ensure a more balanced and healthy life for local at-risk youth.
