The Actor’s Charitable Theatre is excited to welcome you to The Rock!

📅 AUDITIONS
Sunday, October 11 — beginning at 2:00 PM
Monday, October 12 — beginning at 5:30 PM

🎭 PERFORMANCES: February 5–14, 2027

CASTING:
Come From Away features a tight-knit ensemble of 12 performers — 6 men & 6 women. Each actor portrays multiple characters throughout the show, and every member of the company is an essential storyteller.

🌎 Because the story brings together people from around the world, we are seeking a company representing a variety of ethnicities, cultures, ages, and backgrounds. Performers of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to audition!

🎶 WHAT TO PREPARE:
Choose a song in the style of the show that demonstrates your storytelling ability, emotional range, and/or vocal range. Belting is NOT a necessity! We want to see how you connect with a song and tell a story.

Auditions may also include a movement call and readings from the script.

Rehearsals will be scheduled based on cast availability, with breaks for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

❤️ Come ready to create characters, work as an ensemble, and tell an extraordinary story.

We can’t wait to welcome you to The Rock!

🚀 OUR SEASON OF UNITY JUST GOT A LITTLE BIGGER. ✨

The Actor’s Charitable Theatre is excited to announce a fourth production joining our 2026–2027 Season of Unity: Stories That Bring Us Together!

🌌 A DOT ON THE HORIZON 🌌

ACT is partnering with University of Alabama graduate student Ryan Bergman to bring this original sci-fi/fantasy musical to our stage!

After most of humanity has left Earth for space, a group of artists travels the skies searching for anyone who may have been left behind. When they discover a child, their journey becomes a search for her family—and a story about connection, found family, and what it means to belong.

Think Where the Wild Things Are from the grown-up perspective of the Wild Things—with a little Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Peter Pan and the Lost Boys energy thrown in.

🎭 AUDITIONS: OCTOBER 11 & 12

Auditions for A Dot on the Horizon will be held in conjunction with our auditions for COME FROM AWAY!

We are looking for:
• 6 actor/musicians — musicians of ANY experience level are encouraged!
• 1 non-musician performer
• 1 younger-presenting performer — this may be a young actor or an adult who can believably play younger
• A DRUMMER is a must! 🥁

This new addition feels right at home in our Season of Unity—another story about people finding one another, building community, and discovering that sometimes family is something we create along the way.

More audition details are coming soon!
