Stop Shielding, Start Growing. 🌱
We live in a world where it’s incredibly tempting to wrap people in bubble wrap.
To the Coddlers: We know your heart is in the right place. You want to protect, soothe, and shield the people you care about from the harshness of life. But when you constantly baby someone and soften every blow, you aren’t protecting them—you’re stealing their opportunity to build resilience. Sometimes, the most loving thing you can do is step back, stop enabling, and let them face the unvarnished truth.
To the Coddled: It feels good to be shielded. It’s comfortable when people give you what you want and tell you exactly what you want to hear. But comfort zones are where potential goes to die. If you always run to the people who will baby you instead of the people who will tell you the point-blank truth, you will never grow.
Real love isn't just warm hugs and validation; sometimes it’s a wake-up call. Take the band-aid off. Face the music. It’s time to trade the comfort of illusions for the power of the blunt, matter-of-fact truth.
