Wow! What an honor! 💙💛

We were thrilled to receive this recognition from Rotary District 6860 Governor Butler Cain through a LinkedIn post after our annual officer induction meeting.

Thank you, DG Cain, for your kind words and encouragement. We are proud of what our club accomplished this year and grateful for the leadership of outgoing President Mike Rowe and the dedication of our incredible members.

Here’s to another year of making a difference in our community and beyond!

🌟 One small step for man...one giant fact for Rotary!

Did you know that moonwalker Neil Armstrong was a Rotarian? He belonged to the Rotary Club of Wapakoneta, Ohio.

Rotary members come from all walks of life, united by a common goal: making our communities and our world a better place.

🚀 That's a Rotary fact worth sharing!

The Trussville Daybreak Rotary Club officially installed its officers and board members for the 2026-27 Rotary year during this morning’s meeting.

Those installed were:

• President – Jim Kirkland
• Past President – Mike Rowe
• President-Elect – Brian Fisher
• President-Nominee – Renee’ LeCroy
• Treasurer – Jeremy Tuggle
• Secretary – Sandra Vernon
• Member-at-Large – Alan Taylor
• Member-at-Large – Diane Poole
• Member-at-Large – Van Horne

During the installation ceremony, each officer and board member accepted the responsibility of serving our club, supporting Rotary’s mission, and upholding the principles of Service Above Self.

As part of their charge, they pledged to support the goals of Rotary International, Rotary District 6860, and our local club; to help advance Rotary’s efforts to create a polio-free world; to support The Rotary Foundation and its mission of doing good in the world; and to use Rotary’s Four-Way Test as a guide in their personal, professional, and volunteer lives.

We are grateful to these leaders for their willingness to serve and look forward to another year of fellowship, service, and positive impact in our community and beyond.

Congratulations to our 2026-27 leadership team! Shown in the photo (l. to r.) are: Jim Kirkland, Brian Fisher, Mike Rowe, Sandra Vernon, Alan Taylor, Diane Poole, and Van Horne.

A new Rotary year is underway!

Today, the Trussville Daybreak Rotary Club officially welcomed Jim Kirkland as our incoming president. In his remarks, Jim shared his vision for the year ahead—continuing to grow not only in membership, but in impact throughout our community.

He challenged us to become even more visible through service projects, social media, and the everyday relationships we build with those around us. As Jim reminded us, every conversation, every act of kindness, and every project is an opportunity to share the story of Rotary and demonstrate Service Above Self.

Jim also took time to recognize outgoing President Mike Rowe for an exceptional year of leadership. On behalf of the club, he presented Mike with a plaque of appreciation and thanked him for his dedication, mentorship, and commitment to moving our club forward.

“Your leadership has been both inspiring and humbling,” Jim said. “You have truly embodied Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self.”

We are grateful to Mike for a tremendous year of service and excited to support Jim as he leads us into the year ahead.

Here’s to another year of fellowship, leadership, service, and making a difference in the Trussville community!

Today we had the privilege of recognizing and thanking outgoing Trussville Daybreak Rotary Club President Mike Rowe for an outstanding year of leadership.

Under Mike’s guidance, our club continued to make a meaningful impact throughout the community. Together, we:

⭐ Raised a record-breaking $25,000+ through our annual golf tournament
⭐ Awarded a record $19,000 in scholarships to deserving students
⭐ Distributed a record 408 Dr. Seuss books through our Rotary Readers program
⭐ Sponsored six students to attend RYLA leadership camp
⭐ Welcomed four new members to our Rotary family
⭐ Received multiple district awards and honors
⭐ Earned the prestigious Ned & Goldie Paine Gatekeeper Award from the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce, to name a few.

Throughout the year, our members supported countless community initiatives, recognized outstanding students and teachers, honored first responders, served veterans, encouraged literacy, and lived out Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”

As Mike reminded us, it is important not only to look ahead to future goals, but also to look back and celebrate the progress that has been made. Today we celebrate a year of service, fellowship, leadership, and impact.

Thank you, Mike, for your dedication, vision, and leadership. We are grateful for your service and look forward to building on this year’s success as we begin a new Rotary year.
