Thanks to the student volunteers from Brother Rice who came and put in work at our office last Friday 💪

They helped us wash our walls, pick up trash and debris around the property, clean our food pantry tables, and wrap up our outdoor furniture for the season! Their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to give back made a huge impact. ❤️ From helping keep our space clean and welcoming to preparing our facilities for the months ahead, these students showed what community service is all about.

Life can be challenging for any family, but starting over in a new country brings a whole new set of obstacles. After moving from Egypt to the U.S. in 2025, Yasmin, her husband, and their three children faced the reality of supporting a family of five on a single income while adapting to a new community.

Through UCFS-CALC, the family received food assistance, household essentials, and clothing for work, school, and everyday life. Their son is also participating in Project Achievement, where he receives homework help and academic support as he adjusts to his new school.

With their basic needs being met, the family can focus on what matters most: building a stable and successful future!

You can help make stories like Yasmin's possible. Donate today: https://loom.ly/o0cOrdY
