Family Missions

Family Missions Making a Difference Family Missions is a non-profit Christian organization that has been operating in Southeast Michigan since 1993.

It is made up of missionary volunteers who commit all of their time and effort to minister to those in need, both spiritually and materially. Our staff is dedicated to helping people from all walks of life by spreading the message of God's love, hope, and salvation in a tangible way. Family Missions is active in preaching the gospel throughout the Southeast Michigan and the Mid-western United Stat

es through various means such as street evangelism, bible studies, spiritual ministering, and counseling and encouragement. Our members also frequently work with local organizations to bring food, supplies, comfort, and help to people who are suffering hardship. Our goal is to create a better world by serving our fellow man. We have assisted numerous charities over the years among which are the Grace Centers of Hope and Oakland HOPE in Pontiac, Outreach East in Davison, and foremost the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, Michigan. These charities operate soup kitchens and food pantries that serve the homeless, low income families, seniors, and help to rehabilitate those suffering from drug and alcohol addictions. Our full-time members have chosen to devote their lives and efforts to volunteer missionary and social work, adopting this as their lifetime vocation. Members of our fellowship pattern their missionary work after that of the early disciples of Jesus, trusting that God will "supply all [their] need according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Since our work is funded through donations and we receive no monthly salary we rely on God's promises of supply that He has clearly given in the Bible. This is referred to as "living by faith," because it is an act of faith to put one's life totally into the care and keeping of God. We trust that as we put our work for the kingdom of God first, He will see to it that our needs are provided, often through the kindness and generosity of those to whom we minister the message of the Gospel. Family Mission’s efforts would not be possible without the financial support and help provided by concerned individuals and organizations. We consider it a blessing and a special calling to serve God and our fellow man in this way, and we are very thankful for the many individuals and organizations that help make these efforts possible. It is our belief that as one gives to help God's work, he or she will be blessed or rewarded in turn by God, as He said, "I will bless them that bless thee" (Genesis 12:3).
