All interested applicants must complete the application form: https://forms.gle/NA8Qf3myzLFs5FV77

Come get foolish with us!

The Fools Collaborative recently turned TEN, and as we look toward our next decade of community-centered art in Fresno, we’re seeking new board members to help shape what comes next.
You might be a great fit if you:
* Believe art can build community, spark dialogue, and inspire change
* Value equity, accessibility, inclusion, and shared leadership
* Enjoy collaborating, asking thoughtful questions, and supporting bold ideas
* Are excited to help strengthen arts and culture in our community
* Can commit to showing up, following through, and contributing to organizational growth

No previous board experience is required. While many of our board members are artists, you don’t need to be one to serve. We welcome people from a wide range of professional backgrounds, skill sets, and lived experiences.

We especially encourage artists of color, cultural workers, and individuals from historically underrepresented communities to apply.

If you’re ready to help us dream bigger, deepen our impact, and continue creating meaningful and delightfully unexpected work, we’d love to hear from you!

We know it’s been a minute, but we’re still celebrating our 10-year anniversary!

A huge THANK YOU to our newest campaign donors. In the past two months, we’ve raised $1,084 toward our $10,000 goal. Every single gift- from $10, $100, or simply sharing our campaign with your community- helps sustain the work we do and invest in the next decade of joyful, foolish, community-centered art. We know that we’ve still got a long way to go, but we’re more than 10% of the way there!

If you believe in the work we do and the communities we support, visit fresnofools.com/donate to learn more and make your gift today!

Okay, PLEASE don’t come at us cause we are over a week late BUT it is NEVER too late to celebrate Q***r Joy, in fact we should celebrate it year-round.

Pride started as a riot in 1969 in New York City, led by some seriously bad-ass Black and Brown trans women, drag queens, s*x workers, and q***r youth. They showed up and showed out to seek liberation from the oppression of the anti-q***r laws, violence, and discrimination they faced on a daily basis. Their legacy reminds us that Pride has ALWAYS been and will always be intersectional.

We know we’re silly, but it’s intentional. At The Fools we believe in joy as resistance. Theatre, poetry, art, music, dance, gathering, and simply existing as our bold, weird, and foolish selves are powerful acts of defiance in a society still struggling with the concept of our mere existence.

This Pride Month, we lift up those that have paved the way and those that continue to do that good, good work of building a more equitable, inclusive, and loving world- not just for the q***r community, but for communities of color, immigrants, refugees, disabled people, and our unhoused neighbors. We think y’all are pretty f***ing cool. Thanks for reminding us that liberation is collective.

Happy Pride, fools!

An update from Founding Fool and now former board member, Haley White. 💛

We can’t thank Haley enough for all the time, effort, and artistry she poured into our organization. We wouldn’t be who we are today if it weren’t for her creativity and passion. We can’t wait to continue building on what she helped create and we’re glad she’ll be cheering us on!

If you’d like to help us continue to build the next 10 years of The Fools Collaborative, consider donating to our “Ten 4 Ten” Fundraising Campaign. No donation is too small or too large.

I’s April Fool’s Day…but this part is real:
We’re turning TEN! 🎉

We’re celebrating this incredible milestone by launching our “Ten 4 Ten” Campaign: $10,000 for ten years of art, community, and foolishness.

Your support of $1, $100, or beyond will not only help us sustain and stabilize our organization but it will also help fund future performances and programming. This means we can keep bringing Fresno audiences the kind of unexpected, joyful, community-driven art they deserve.

If you believe in what we do, help us write the next chapter.

💸 Give what you can.
📢 Share our campaign.

Because the truth is…we’re just getting started.

It’s been two weeks since we hosted “¡Una Vez Más!” and damn, we’re still riding that high.

The evening wasn’t just an encore performance of “S’Will” it was something much bigger: a full-on celebration of community. A celebration of our Latine community. A few hours of joyful resistance, laughter, and connection that reminded us exactly why we do this work.

We’re so grateful to everyone who made the night what it was. To our venue partners at St. Dulce: thank you for holding such a vibrant, safe, and inclusive space for our community to gather and create. To artist José Soria, whose solo exhibit “Nopales y Néctar” set the tone for the evening: thank you for sharing your work and being in the room with us. To our incredible vendors, BB’s Gelateria and Judging by the Cover, thanks for bringing flavor and stories into the space all night long. To DJ4AM: thank you for keeping the energy up and the vibes exactly right all night. Thank you to our generous sponsors who helped make this celebration possible.

And of course, to our cast, crew, and volunteers; your talent, care, and hustle made the whole night what it was. We love you all and we’re so lucky to get foolish with you weirdos.

Finally, to our community: thank you for showing up. For filling the room. For believing in what we do. We love making art for you, and we can’t wait to keep going.

Stay tuned! Something exciting is coming April 1. And no, it’s not a joke. 😉

A very overdue (but deeply felt) THANK YOU to our incredible sponsors and community partners who made this year’s production of “S’Will” a completely SOLD OUT success!

We’re constantly reminded how lucky we are to be part of such a vibrant, generous community. To everyone who showed up, spread the word, and supported us; you made this moment possible, and we’re so grateful.

With our 10-year anniversary just around the corner, we’re dreaming big and getting ready for what’s next. Stay tuned… the next decade of foolishness is going to be even bigger.

Our blog is back and in full swing! We are launching a new series, FOOLS BY ASSOCIATION. This series features folx who may not necessarily be members of the Fools but whose work we think is cool and wanna uplift, because we should be supporting each other, right?

First up, "I and You" director Janine Christl interviews her cast member Alexander Gonzalez about their show opening TONIGHT at Fresno City College Theatre Arts and Dance.

Give it a read and then get those tickets!

Hey Fools! We're back again, and we're expanding our coverage (LOL, what, like we're a real arts blog or something?). Welcome to FOOLS BY ASSOCIATION , where we spotlight artists who may not be...
