The Florida Comets 12UG played their first game and first event this weekend. As expected, we saw what we expected to see and played like we thought they would play.

With this development 12 & under girls, including (4) 4th graders, we showed no fear, but with limited girls’ teams in the event, we ended up playing against taller, stronger, & more physical (7) & (8) grade middle school girls.

We did show improvement from game to game as we begin to make a few better passes, better rebounds, and. confidence as we actually begin to take a few shot instead of retreating into the fetal praying position.

We didn’t score score the first game, then the second game we scored (7) points, then the third game we scored (10) points. That is really growth and we are extremely proud of our first event.

Now back to the gym to retrain for our next event.

Florida Comets 12U Girls’ Basketball is fundraising for the upcoming basketball season. This BEGINNER GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PROGRAM IS TOO GET THESE YOUNG STUDENT ATHLETES INVOLVED IN ATHLETICS AND ACADEMICS.

This program will allow these student athletes the opportunity to participate in activities that they would not encounter without it.

Please consider donating and or contributing to their program to cover uniforms, AAU membership/insurance, and or events’ participating fees.

We are trying to raise $3,500.00 for the season. We take cash, checks, cashapp, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and credit debit cards.
