This isn’t relevant in Illinois, yet but…

Apparently, the words “mother” and “father” are becoming outdated and need to be replaced with more inclusive terms under New York State law. If Governor Kathy Hochul approves this change in New York family court domestic law and education law, a mother would be called a “gestating parent,” a father a “non-gestating parent,” and paternity proceedings to determine the child’s father would be known as “parentage proceedings.” This is ridiculous; I am almost speechless, but it doesn’t surprise me. Please, if you support this, I would love to hear why. I can have a civil conversation about it if you can, so please share in my comments. Let me know if you support this and why….

This might not be about education or parental rights for once… 😄

Most of what we share here tends to be infuriating, heartbreaking, or sometimes even encouraging—but let’s be honest, it’s rarely funny. And given everything going on in the public school system and the constant disregard for parental rights… there’s not exactly a lot to laugh about.
