Happy Mother’s Day to all the band moms ❤️

There’s just something special about being a band mom. We cheer for everybody’s kids, cry during performances, take way too many photos, and somehow become emotionally attached to songs we never would’ve listened to otherwise 😂

So much love happens behind the scenes of these programs. Rides, fundraising, volunteering, helping kids through stress, celebrating victories, encouraging them after hard days… all of it matters.

To the senior moms especially, I know this season of life feels a little bittersweet. What a gift it’s been to watch these kids grow into such amazing young people.

Hope all of you feel appreciated today. You’ve helped build something really special ❤️🎶

What a beautiful night last night was at the final jazz band concert of the year ❤️

To our seniors, congratulations on being honored and celebrated. You have left such a meaningful mark on this program, on each other, and on all of the younger musicians who have looked up to you along the way. It’s hard to believe this chapter is already coming to a close.

To every musician on that stage, you should be so proud of yourselves. Those songs were not easy, and it showed how much hard work, dedication, practice, and heart went into every performance. And the soloists… wow. You were incredible. It takes so much courage to stand up and perform like that, and you absolutely shined.

It honestly doesn’t feel real that this wraps up our band concerts for this school year. These kids have grown so much, not just as musicians, but as people. Their passion, friendships, teamwork, and love for music have created something really special.

Parents, thank you for every ride, every late pickup, every competition, every dollar spent, every word of encouragement, and for loving these kids through all of it. We love listening to them too, and we know how proud you are.

Seniors, we are going to miss you more than you know ❤️

Now take a moment to breathe it all in and enjoy what you accomplished this year. You earned it.

And to all of our Hawks… we can’t wait to see you back at band camp 🖤💛

Amazing concert tonight, Hawks! Thank you for your dedication to musicianship, companionship, and excellence.
One thing that always stands out is your support of one another. It’s unique, touching, and awesome. Thanks for always cheering each other on!
Best wishes to our seniors! We know you’re going to do spectacular things in these coming years, just know you will be missed.
Thank you to our outgoing BPA members Paul Jaminet, Elizabeth Bible, Danielle Tonjes, and Anna Uecker for all you did in your years serving the band. You have left this program better than you found it, and we are all better for having worked alongside you!
Thank you for the sitting BPA members for continuing your commitment into next year.
Finally, thank you to our amazing band directors for pouring your hearts into your jobs 6 days a week and 12 hours a day. You are fantastic leaders and have created a culture that truly shines.

What a fun night of music on Thursday!

The Horizon Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony, under the direction of Mr. Dailey and Mr. Duran, were joined by the Rocky Top Middle School 8th Grade Band under the direction of Mr. Roberts for a really special concert.

So much talent, hard work, and heart on one stage. We loved getting to see these students share their music and represent their programs so well. What a fantastic group of musicians!

Congratulations to our Horizon Bands! 🎶

We are incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding performances at the CBA Concert Band Festivals the last two weeks. The Concert Band and Symphonic Band both earned a II – Excellent rating, demonstrating strong musicianship and growth throughout the year.

Our Wind Symphony earned a I – Superior rating and has qualified for the CBA State Festival!

Bravo to all of these musicians for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. We can’t wait to see what comes next for these incredible ensembles! 🎵👏

🎉 ALL-STATE HONORS! 🎉

Please join us in celebrating Ebrar Eroglu (Oboe) and Violet Ence (Flute) on their acceptance to and performance in the Colorado All-State Orchestra this last weekend!

This is one of the highest achievements for high school musicians in our state, and it represents months of dedication, preparation, and musical excellence. We are so proud of the hard work, leadership, and artistry these two brought not only to the All-State stage, but to our program every single day.

Ebrar and Violet, you represented Horizon with professionalism, passion, and pride. 💙🎶
