🌱 This World Environment Day, we're reminded that caring for our environment is also an investment in people, communities, and future generations.

At Womenful Voice, we believe education extends beyond the classroom. Through initiatives like One Student, One Tree, students learn the importance of environmental stewardship while taking an active role in creating healthier communities.

Environmental sustainability and educational opportunity are deeply connected. When girls and young people are empowered with knowledge, resources, and opportunities to lead, they become powerful agents of change for their families, communities, and the world around them.

Every tree planted, every lesson learned, and every action taken today helps build a stronger tomorrow.

All of those can be distilled down into the same idea: It’s about nurturing potential.

Education is adding information, stoking passions, and encouraging curiosity. It’s an important first step toward helping a child discover their place in the world and empowering them to claim it.

That’s at the heart of the work we do–empowering girls through education so they become empowered women who can help lead change for the benefit of themselves, their families, and their communities.

Celebrating our amazing facilitators!

We started this training journey with 14 dedicated trainees, completed with 11, and are proud to congratulate the 8 participants who earned their certificates by scoring 8/10 or higher.

From these graduates, 6 facilitators were selected to continue this important work by educating and engaging teachers, mothers, university students, and middle & high school learners in their communities. 🌍💜

Happy Menstrual Hygiene Day!

Through our Menstruation Is Power program in Haiti, we’re breaking stigma and expanding access to menstrual health education and sustainable products.

Since 2022, we’ve reached hundreds of women and girls and distributed 1000+ reusable menstrual products, supporting school attendance, reducing costs, and restoring dignity.

This year, for Menstruation Is Power, we took a major step forward in building lasting menstrual health justice and leadership.

We kicked things off with a formal training for our facilitators. Only those who scored 8/10 or higher received a certificate of completion. We started with 14 dedicated trainees, finished with 11, and out of those, 8 earned their certificates.

From those 8 graduates, 6 were selected to become facilitators, ready to share their knowledge with teachers, mothers, university students, and learners from middle and high school.

Our training ran for a full weekday session, starting 25 May and wrapping up on 29 May, our way to celebrate .

A huge thank you to Lunette for their generous donation, and to My African Womanhood for their powerful curriculum that guided our work.

At the end of the week, we will be donating:
🩸 115 menstrual cups
🩸 1,000 reusable menstrual pads

All products are environmentally friendly, and in total, this campaign reached nearly 300 participants.

This is what looks like: informed facilitators, sustainable products, and community-powered change.
