Last week, we celebrated the 14 staff members who have dedicated more than 20 years to Children’s Rescue Fund and officially welcomed them into the CRF Legacy Club.

When you really stop and think about it - that’s hundreds of years of combined service, compassion, sacrifice, late nights, hard conversations, crisis response, laughter, growth, and showing up for families & individuals over and over again.

Hundreds of years spent helping people rebuild their lives.

There was so much history in that room. So much love. So many memories.

CRF is what it is because of people like this.

To our CRF Legacy Club members: thank you for staying, for believing in this work, and for giving so much of yourselves to this mission for so many years. Your impact lives in every person, every family and every child you’ve helped along the way.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers across the CRF community.💐💙

This week, our shelter sites came together to celebrate the resilience, love, and sacrifice of the moms we serve. From brunches and gifts to special celebrations powered by community & corporate partners - each celebration was a reminder of how important it is to honor and pour into the women who do so much for their families.

A huge thank you to all of our site teams and staff who worked so hard to make these celebrations meaningful and memorable for our clients. Your care and dedication never go unnoticed.

This National Nurses Day, we’re celebrating Simone Sapp, LPN! Simone’s care, compassion, and presence mean so much to the women we serve at one of our single adult sites.

At our Kenilworth shelter, Simone is more than a nurse. She’s someone clients trust, confide in, and turn to, especially those navigating complex mental health challenges. We hear it all the time: “She’s easy to talk to.” “She’s always there.”

That trust matters. It creates space for healing, encourages engagement in care, and helps clients feel safe, seen, and supported.

Today, we celebrate Simone and all nurses who make this work possible.💙

Pouring into Confidence💙 We were honored to host the Pour Into Her Confidence experience at our CRF Bruckner shelter, thanks to the incredible leadership and generosity of the VonciaJune Collective team.

Through donated bras, personalized fittings, and intentional self-care experiences, they created a space rooted in care, and empowerment for the young women we serve.

From beauty and self-care to meaningful conversations around confidence, every detail was thoughtfully designed. The turnout was incredible, and the impact was felt in every smile, every conversation, and every moment of encouragement shared.

We are deeply grateful to VonciaJune Collective for showing up in such a powerful way and pouring into our clients with purpose.

This Earth Day, our incredible partners at Lazard rolled up their sleeves and showed up in a big way for the women and children at Icahn House.

From landscaping the front of the shelter to building, painting & planting new flower beds 🌱 to painting hallways and creating a beautiful, collaborative mural led by NYC artist Minshik Shin 🎨 every detail was done with intention.

It wasn’t just about beautifying a space. It was about creating an environment that feels welcoming, uplifting, and full of possibility for the residents at the shelter.

To our Lazard volunteers: thank you for getting your hands dirty (literally!) and making a lasting impact for our CRF families.

CRF’s Employment Services team recently launched its first Security Training cohort, marking an exciting step forward for five clients beginning their journey toward financial stability.

From day one, participants showed up engaged, motivated, and ready to build something new. Through Customer Service Training and hands-on support, they’re gaining the tools needed to move forward with confidence.
