Fall vibes and a throwback to last year when we somehow stayed on theme without even planning it.

Kim Possible, SWAT & Velma from Scooby-Doo.

And somehow, every character reflected a little of what we do in real life:

Advocating for others.
Laying down the law.
Investigating.
Finding answers.
Solving problems.
And getting things DONE.

Maybe the costumes weren’t random after all.

Different characters. Same energy: protect, advocate, investigate & find a solution.

Today, as part of our Future Legal Leaders Program, two of our students from Monroe University and Hostos Community College participated in an interactive investigations session led by our community partner, We Are Detectives.

The session introduced students to investigative techniques, critical thinking, observation, fact gathering, and the important role investigations can play within the legal profession.

Future Legal Leaders is about giving students more than classroom knowledge — it is about providing real-world exposure, mentorship, hands-on learning, and access to professionals across the legal and investigative fields.

A special thank you to We Are Detectives for investing their time and expertise into our future legal professionals.

There’s something magical about Batman making a surprise appearance in the Bronx — the very borough where the character was created.

Yesterday, We Are Detectives, Inc wearedetectivesinc hosted its 2nd Annual Batman Day, bringing families together for a day filled with imagination, learning, movement, and community.

Founded by a Bronx native and longtime Batman fan, We Are Detectives, Inc., uses the world of the superhero to help children and families discover the real-life detective skills we use every day: critical thinking, observation, problem-solving, teamwork, curiosity, and confidence.

From hands-on activities to Bat-Fit Camp, families had the opportunity to bring those skills to life while embracing the history, culture, and extraordinary works of Edgar Allan Poe right here in the Bronx.

We were proud to partner with incredible organizations, community partners, and volunteers who helped make the day such a fun and successful experience. And one of the best parts? Seeing adults dressed up, smiling, participating, and bringing out their own inner kid alongside their children.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a special day.

Follow wearedetectivesinc and stay tuned — next year’s Batman Day will be even bigger, better, and full of surprises for families!

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we proudly celebrate our culture, our roots, and the strength of the Latino community.

As Latina women in business, we are proud to use our experience, our voices, and our work to serve and uplift the communities that helped shape us.

For us, representation means more than being present—it means opening doors, creating opportunities, educating our families, and making sure our community has access to the resources and support it deserves.

We honor those who came before us, celebrate those making a difference today, and continue working to inspire the next generation of Latino leaders.

Our heritage is our strength. Our community is our purpose.❤️

Hon. Ischia Bravo is a lifelong Bronx public servant and a true barrier-breaker. In 2023, she made history as the first woman and first Latina to serve as Bronx County Clerk, where she also serves as Clerk of the Supreme Court, Civil Branch, and Commissioner of Jurors.

With more than 15 years of public-service experience, Bravo previously served as District Manager of Bronx Community Board 7, Executive Director of the Bronx Democratic County Committee, and worked in the offices of a U.S. Congressman and New York State Senator. Raised in Bronx public housing, she later attended Hostos Community College and John Jay College, building a career centered on advocacy, access, and community empowerment.

We are proud to recognize Hon. Ischia Bravo as our 2026 Judicial & Breaking Barriers Honoree, celebrating her historic leadership and the example she continues to set for the next generation of legal leaders.

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend Wilby Betty’s NY Summit. Thank you to CaseLab for the invitation and for bringing together such an insightful event.

We learned a great deal, especially about the PI sector, which is particularly meaningful given our President’s background in the field. It was a valuable experience filled with learning, meaningful networking, and reconnecting with familiar faces.

Looking forward to applying these insights and continuing the conversations started at the summit.
