Back to School 2026 was a huge success! We served 120 local families and 310 children with brand new backpacks, clothing, and school supplies to start the new school year. We want to thank Senator Shannon Grove for their donation of backpacks, Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi for the clothes, school supplies, and backpacks, Tehachapi Lions Club for the new school supplies, and Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley for the backpacks stuffed with suppplies and for the volunteering at the event. Thanks to Sandra Celio for your photography, Barber D Barbershop for providing free haircuts, and for the hair cut gift certificates. Thank you and having booths and providing information to families about your services. We are grateful for the many partnerships we have to serve our community, thank you!

Our Client Choice Market will be Wednesday, August 26 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Please note that no early parking will be permitted due to our after-school program. Parking will be available at 5:00pm.

We still have a lot of brand new backpacks and gently used clothing available! We're open from 9am to 3pm today and tomorrow, so come on in and get ready for the new school year that starts on Wednesday!

We still have plenty of clothing and backpacks available! We'll be here until 12pm, 538 E. Tehachapi Blvd. Children do not need to be present to receive backpacks.

Our Back to School Giveaway is TODAY! Available to families in the 93561 zip code, please bring proof of residence. Come to 538 E. Tehachapi Blvd from 9am to 12pm for free backpacks, school supplies, and clothing! Plus other community resources will be there.

We are at Walmart today until 12pm collecting donations of backpacks, school supplies, and kids clothing for our annual Back to School Giveaway! Everything collected will be given out for free on Saturday, August 8 from 9am to 12pm. Come on by to support your local Salvation Army!
