Who is IFC:
Our team is made up of family representatives who are committed to supporting the families of the incarcerated through communication, collaboration, and advocacy. Together with CDCR, we work to strengthen family connections by sharing information, answering questions, identifying concerns, and finding solutions that benefit both families and the institution. We believe that strong family relationships play an important role in rehabilitation, and through mutual respect, open dialogue, and teamwork, we aim to create a positive environment where families feel informed, supported, and valued.

We acknowledge the widespread concern regarding the recent power outage. This outage is attributed to the severe winds and fire risk in Tehachapi. In response, IFC has contacted the Public Information Officer (PIO) to inquire about the possibility of visiting for tomorrow. Visiting is currently uncertain about tomorrow’s visits due to the lack of electricity (light) and the absence of vending machines for food and beverages.
We will provide you with updates as soon as we receive further information. Please continue to check the website for update.

📃Repost from SIFC regarding the Written Consent for Minor Visitation Form:

After years of advocating for CDCR to correct its Written Consent for Minor Visitation form, the updated form was released today.

Going forward, please ensure that you use the new form. The required California notarial wording is now properly enclosed in a box, eliminating the need for the notary to attach a separate loose acknowledgment certificate.

This wording format has been required by California law since 2014, and CDCR has now brought the form into compliance.

CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION FAMILY VISIT — ALBERTSONS ORDERING PROCEDURE

Effective Date: August 31, 2026
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
To help ensure that your grocery order is available at the required pickup time, all Albertsons orders must be placed 2–3 days prior to your scheduled Family Visit.
Please follow the procedure below when placing your order.

ORDERING PROCEDURE
1 Access Albertsons
• Log in to the Albertsons mobile application or access the Albertsons website.
2 Select the Correct Store
• Ensure your order is placed with the Albertsons located on Tucker Road in Tehachapi, California.
• Please verify that the correct store location is selected before completing your order.
3 Order Limit
• The total value of your order must not exceed $250.
4 Select Pickup ( CCI VISITING STAFF WILL PICK UP)
• Select “Pickup” as the order fulfillment method.
5 Select a Pickup Time
• The preferred pickup time is 7:00–8:00 a.m.
• If the 7:00–8:00 a.m. time slot is unavailable, select 8:00–9:00 a.m.
6 Contact Albertsons Prior to Pickup
• The day before your scheduled Family Visit, call Albertsons at 661-823-7090.
• Ask to speak with the Drive Up & Go department.
• Inform the representative that:
• The order is for California Correctional Institution (CCI); and
• The order is for a “Family Visit.”

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ORDERS
California Correctional Institution is not responsible for missing, incorrect, damaged, or otherwise unavailable items contained in an Albertsons order.
It is the responsibility of the individual placing the order to verify the order and address any discrepancies directly with Albertsons.

REMINDER
Please place your order 2–3 day before your scheduled Family Visit and contact Albertsons the day before pickup to identify the order as a CCI “Family Visit” order.
