A massive thank you to Tatiana Rolles and her co-facilitator, Kimmy Yon, for taking our leadership team on an incredible, rhythm-filled journey!

Tatiana brought the power of Youth Villages’ Therapeutic Drumming program to our Annual Leadership Retreat, and it was a profoundly transformative experience.

Through their brilliant facilitation, our team came together to learn both the theory and the practice behind this work. We explored how traditional West African drumming can actively heal the brains of youth impacted by trauma, and then we jumped straight into the rhythm ourselves.

By the end of the workshop, our entire leadership team was drumming joyfully. Thank you, Tatiana and Kimmy, for your wisdom, your energy, and for showing us how rhythm builds resilience!

Last week, we held our annual leadership retreat, and it was a wonderful event where our leadership team had the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and align on our vision for the future. Our Circuit 7 programs stepped out for the Spring Resource Fair, hosted by Flagler County Health & Human Services.

Teams from Functional Family Therapy, S.T.R.I.V.E., and Fatherhood at the Forefront were on the ground representing BAYS with a clear goal: connecting with our neighbors and ensuring every family knows there is a support system ready to help them succeed. Beyond just promoting our individual programs, we were honored to share the BAYS mission and our commitment to improving the lives of children and families throughout the Flagler County community.
