onbikes You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a kid a bike, and that's pretty close.

OnBikes is a Tampa based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2011 when a group of friends organized a community bike ride during the winter holiday season to raise funds so at-risk children could receive their first bicycles. OnBikes focus is to promote self-confidence, healthy living and overall well-being of at-risk children and foster kids while providing a fun and safe physical activity.

Today is National Nonprofit Day, but for us, today is really about the people who make onbikes what it is.

Every bike we give, every child we reach, and every life we touch is made possible because of the people who choose to show up. Our volunteers who give their time, our sponsors who believe in our mission, and every person who has supported onbikes along the way.

You are the heart of this organization. You are the reason we get to keep building, keep giving, and keep changing lives two wheels at a time.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who has helped us get here. onbikes wouldn’t be onbikes without you.

Every early morning, late night, challenge, and celebration is fueled by passion, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve. The work isn’t always easy, but every challenge is worth it when we see the smile on a child’s face as they receive their very first bike.

🎒🚲 The first day of school is officially in the books!
As Tampa Bay kids head back to the classroom, we’re reminded why access to a bike matters so much. A bike can help a child get to school, activities, friends, and opportunities they might otherwise miss.
Today, we’re loading up bikes that will soon be headed to kids across Tampa Bay. Because every child deserves the chance to ride, explore, and dream big.
