Madi's Movement Transforming Foster Teens' Lives
Support teens aging out of foster care with tools for financial literacy, life skills, and career readiness. March Fourth.

Help them achieve independence and reach their dreams. Join us and make a difference! “I am Madi of Tampa, Florida. I am ridiculously passionate about becoming someone famous and important to help people because I can serve society more positively. I don’t have it all together, but I have a plan and I will change the WORLD!” written by Madison Ebie at age 16. Madison Elizabeth is a passionate youn

g woman with a sympathetic heart who wants to change the world. Madi set her vision on helping foster children, especially teens, who don’t have a voice and who face insurmountable obstacles at a critical point in their life. Her mission is to break down barriers so foster teens can achieve independence and realize their fullest potential. Most importantly, she wants to give them a voice. Madi’s spirit and vibrant personality embody her desire to lift up those around her. She is sweet and sassy, feisty and playful, and full of life. Her contagious personality is magnetic and makes everyone feel comfortable, regardless of the situation. Madi is the trifecta: beautiful inside and out, bright, and blessed with a heart of gold. Sadly, a tragic accident claimed Madi’s life on March 4th, 2021. Those two words resonate and affirm Madi’s message to her family. She inspires us to “march forth” in her honor and to help foster teens march forth as they transform, like a butterfly, to independence. Madi’s spirit is alive and she is living out her dream… to serve society in a positive way and change the WORLD.

If going above and beyond for our foster teens was illegal…
we’d be guilty. 👀💜

Guilty of showing up.
Guilty of cheering them on.
Guilty of helping them feel seen, supported, and never alone.

And according to the reviews… we might just be guilty with 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

At Madi’s Movement, we believe foster teens deserve more than just resources they deserve people in their corner who truly care.

Comment LOVE if you believe every teen deserves someone who goes above and beyond for them. 💜

Kids don’t enter foster care because life got “hard.”

They entered foster care because their home was no longer safe.

Neglect. Substance use. Abuse. Unsafe housing. Caregivers unable to provide basic care.

These aren’t just statistics, they are traumatic experiences that can leave lasting wounds.

For many children, the damage does not end when they enter the system. The fear, instability, separation, and constant uncertainty can follow them for years, shaping how they trust, how they feel safe, and how they see their future.

Some foster youth experience PTSD and complex trauma at rates comparable to those seen in people who have lived through war, violence, or other life-threatening events.

That is why support cannot stop at removal.

Teens in foster care need more than a placement. They need connection. Stability. Mentorship. Community. Someone who sees their pain and still believes in their future.

That’s where Madi’s Movement steps in. 💜

We walk alongside foster teens and young adults as they build confidence, independence, stability, and hope.

Because what happened to them may have shaped their story but it should never decide their future.

Comment LOVE to learn how you can help change the path for foster teens.

Why does a free college education still leave so many foster youth behind?

In Florida, youth who age out of foster care may be eligible for tuition support.

But nationally, only about 3% of foster youth go on to earn a college degree.

That gap tells us something heartbreaking:

Access is not the same as support.

Many teens aging out of foster care are expected to step into adulthood while still trying to figure out where they’ll live, how they’ll work, who they can trust, and how to keep going without the steady support system many of us had.

That’s why Madi’s Movement exists.

Born from Madison’s dream and legacy, Madi’s Movement walks alongside teens and young adults aging out of foster care, equipping them with the resources, connection, guidance, and community they need to move toward independence and build a future they deserve.

Because a tuition waiver can open a door…

But support helps them walk through it. 💜

He said it was a sign. 💜

Maybe this is yours too
to show up for foster teens.

A sign to give.
A sign to volunteer.
A sign to join the movement.

At Madi’s Movement, we walk alongside foster teens as they navigate life, independence, and the future ahead of them. Many are aging out without the consistent support, resources, or safety net so many of us had growing up.

That’s why this movement matters.

We help provide mentorship, advocates, transportation assistance, essential items, life opportunities, resources, and meaningful relationships because every foster teen deserves to feel seen, supported, and cared for.

Sometimes hope looks like a donation.
Sometimes it looks like a volunteer.
Sometimes it looks like one person choosing to show up.

Be the sign they’ve been waiting for. ✨

Comment LOVE to see how even the smallest act of support can help change the path for a foster teen. 💜

Foster care may be part of their story… but it was never the end of it.

Before the world knew their names, they had beginnings filled with uncertainty, instability, and circumstances no child should have to carry.

Marilyn Monroe. Simone Biles. Tiffany Haddish. Eddie Murphy. Seal.

Each one is a reminder that a difficult beginning does not have to decide someone’s future.

For so many foster teens, life can feel like survival every single day.

Surviving the next move.
Surviving without a consistent support system.
Surviving without someone to call when life feels too heavy.

Surviving birthdays, graduations, first jobs, first apartments, and major life moments without the safety net so many of us get to depend on.

At Madi’s Movement, we believe foster teens deserve more than survival.

We are here to help them move from everyday survival to extraordinary futures through mentorship, advocacy, essential items, transportation support, life skills, job connections, housing resources, and a community that reminds them they are not alone.

Because behind every foster care story is a young person with dreams, gifts, potential, and a future still waiting to be built.

Their beginning may have been difficult…
but with the right support, love, and community, their story can still become something extraordinary. 💜🧡

Turning 18 should feel exciting.
For many foster teens, it feels terrifying.

While most young adults are celebrating their birthday, planning their future, or leaning on family for support… many foster teens aging out of care are asking one heartbreaking question:

“Where am I going to go?”

Too often, when a young person turns 18, they are expected to leave their placement, group home, or the only place they’ve had to stay, without a stable foundation, without family support, and without a clear path forward.

That’s where Madi’s Movement steps in. 💜

We help fill the gaps where the system can’t always reach through support, resources, mentorship, essentials, opportunities, and people who show up during the rough patches.

Because foster teens don’t just need a program.
They need people.
They need consistency.
They need someone in their corner.

And the truth is… even the smallest acts of support can make a life-changing difference.

Budgeting is hard for most adults…

Now imagine turning 18 and suddenly your whole life depends on it.

Rent. Food. Transportation. Work clothes. Emergencies.
No safety net. No backup plan. No room for mistakes.

For many foster teens aging out of care, learning how to manage money isn’t just a “life skill” — it can be the difference between stability and survival.

One of our foster teens shared one of the biggest lessons she learned:

“I was working, getting paid, going out, spending money thinking I had it like that. I wasn’t thinking about the future. I wasn’t thinking about emergencies.”

But then she said something powerful:

“You have to pay yourself, even if it’s just a little.”

This is why Madi’s Movement exists.

We don’t just talk about helping foster teens — we walk beside them, teach real-life skills, connect them with support, and help them prepare for life beyond foster care.

Because aging out shouldn’t mean figuring out adulthood alone. 💜

What if one conversation could change the path of a foster teen’s life?

That’s exactly why we gather.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Madi’s Movement Monthly Social! We had such a great night bringing together community leaders, businesses, and supporters who believe young adults aging out of foster care deserve more than being left to figure life out alone.

For too many foster teens, aging out means stepping into adulthood without consistent support, meaningful relationships, transportation, job connections, housing help, or someone to call when life gets overwhelming.

Madi’s Movement exists to change that.
These socials are more than networking events. They are where connections turn into opportunities, conversations turn into resources, and community turns into a support system for the youth we serve.
And now, we’re getting ready for the next one.

They lost their home… and then many lose each other too. 💔

When children enter foster care, they are already facing unimaginable trauma — being separated from their parents, home, school, routines, and everything familiar to them.

But for many foster teens, the heartbreak doesn’t stop there.

💔 2 out of 3 children entering foster care have siblings.
💔 More than 50% of sibling groups are separated from each other in care.

For many foster youth, a sibling is their only constant… the only person who shares their memories, understands their pain, and makes them feel less alone during one of the hardest times of their lives.

Imagine losing your family, only to then be separated from your brother or sister too.

Sibling separation can lead to:
• grief & abandonment
• anxiety & depression
• isolation & loneliness
• lifelong emotional trauma

At Madi’s Movement, we believe support shouldn’t end when foster care begins. We help foster teens feel seen, supported, and connected through mentorship, advocates, transportation assistance, essential items, life opportunities, resources, and meaningful relationships. 💜

Our advocates provide foster teens with guidance, encouragement, stability, and support when they need direction or simply someone in their corner.

Because every foster teen deserves support.
Every foster teen deserves connection.
And every child deserves someone who stays.
