They lost their home… and then many lose each other too. 💔
When children enter foster care, they are already facing unimaginable trauma — being separated from their parents, home, school, routines, and everything familiar to them.
But for many foster teens, the heartbreak doesn’t stop there.
💔 2 out of 3 children entering foster care have siblings.
💔 More than 50% of sibling groups are separated from each other in care.
For many foster youth, a sibling is their only constant… the only person who shares their memories, understands their pain, and makes them feel less alone during one of the hardest times of their lives.
Imagine losing your family, only to then be separated from your brother or sister too.
Sibling separation can lead to:
• grief & abandonment
• anxiety & depression
• isolation & loneliness
• lifelong emotional trauma
At Madi’s Movement, we believe support shouldn’t end when foster care begins. We help foster teens feel seen, supported, and connected through mentorship, advocates, transportation assistance, essential items, life opportunities, resources, and meaningful relationships. 💜
Our advocates provide foster teens with guidance, encouragement, stability, and support when they need direction or simply someone in their corner.
Because every foster teen deserves support.
Every foster teen deserves connection.
And every child deserves someone who stays.
✨ Comment LOVE to learn more about becoming an advocate for one of our foster teens and how you can help provide support, guidance, and encouragement when they need it most!
