In this info session, we’ll go over the history and authority of the SCOC as well as discuss the 2025 reforms made to the Commission.

Join Unchained and the Advocacy for the Incarcerated club at Upstate Medical University on Thursday for a panel discussing the intersections between the carceral and healthcare systems and their impacts on the lives of incarcerated individuals and their families. The panel will feature several Unchained members with unique and personal experiences related to carceral healthcare.

Today also marks the beginning of National Literature Month and Second Chance Month, so we're committed to ensuring literary access for incarcerated individuals. Thank you to all our 💗volunteer valentines💗 who spent the evening with us last week cataloging and organizing the many, many books that have been donated so far. We are so excited to be able to send these books to incarcerated individuals at no cost to them!!

Next Thursday Feb 12 from 5-8, join Unchained and SAGE Upstate for a cozy volunteer night complete with books and snacks! Bring your laptop if you can to help us organize our book donations into a spreadsheet, or help us sort the books and match them to requests from incarcerated individuals. See you there!
