Prisons are the biggest culprits of literary censorship in the United States, but we've made it our mission to increase incarcerated individuals' access to books in spite of that fact. Literary Liberation has so far sent hundreds of books to individuals in New York State prisons, and with your help, we can continue fighting censorship and book bans on the inside.

Five years ago today, Governor Hochul signed the Less Is More Act into law! Since then, the New York State parole population has been cut in half, and the number of people detained or reincarcerated for parole violations has significantly dropped.

We'd like to thank everyone who supported Less Is More from its inception to its implementation, and we're excited to see it continue to transform lives throughout New York State!

Our first Freedom Academy workshop series was a huge success! The cohort completed the three week "Branches and Levels of Government" series, which included a firsthand look at local government with County Legislator Maurice "Mo" Brown!

School is in session! Freedom Academy's first workshop series began last week, focusing on branches and levels of government and how to leverage our collective power with each division.
