Hello Brothers!

Dillsboro Lodge had their fundraiser BBQ for the Children's Home last month and they did well. Congratulations to all those Brothers and their spouses that helped to make that event a success.

East Laporte Lodge has their fundraiser for the Children's Home, WhiteStone Retirement Home, and the Masonic Foundation this coming Saturday August 8th at East Laporte Masonic Lodge in Cullowhee. We need help this week to price, set items out, and for brothers to bring more yard sale items. Brother Ron Stephens is having some cataract surgery and won't be able to lift much, so all your help is imperative. Give me a call if you have items for the lodge to sell or if you can help price and set things up. My number is (828)506-2054. I'm hoping we can work on getting things ready on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Thursday I'll be at the VA in Asheville till after 3:00 PM. I should be home around 5:30 PM. I can help at the lodge after that time if anyone needs access to the lodge. This event has also been in the Sylva Herald for three weeks.

I put out signs today on Hwy 107 and at the lodge entrance stating Yard Sale August 8th. We are hoping to run the event from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We also need volunteers to collect money, help customers with sales, and merchandise. Even if you feel you can't do much, still come and talk with customers and help with late minute pricing.

Let's be successful! Everyone pitch in. Our secretary will also take up donations for our Charities, for those who are unable to attend but want to help. It's very much appreciated!

Fraternally,

Ron Story, PM
