We need to raise $935 for Luna's much needed veterinary care.
She is in dire need of dental work. She is considered a senior and bloodwork is needed both for the dental and to check her general health.
She is currently taking medication for pain and infection. These are a temporary treatment to control the pain.
She is eating soft food as gruel now rather than rejecting it or barely eating.
She is on the urgent cancelation list at our vet office for the dental work.
A little background about Luna. She was adopted from FHAR at 2 years old. She is now 8 years old.
Recently her adopter contacted us advising she could no longer afford Luna's care. Of course we said we will take her back.
Our hearts hurt for Luna's current condition.
When she left our care 6 years ago, she was a healthy weight at 9lbs with good body condition.
Speed forward to her being returned to us and she weighs only 4lbs and has very poor body condition.
We are thankful the adopter returned her to us. We understand that this cost of veterinary care is not possible for some to afford. We do wish she had returned her sooner.
Her mouth is in horrible condition. We have no idea how long she has been in pain. Obviously it has been affecting her eating.
After 6 years of being with her adopter she is of course scared and shy coming to us.
Please help us raise the funds for her care.
The payment will be due at the time the dental work is completed so we need to raise the funds as quickly as possible.
