Grateful to Emily and Maryland’s Office of Overdose Response for visiting the HOFFA House this week, taking time to learn more about the broader recovery services we provide, and listening closely to what’s happening in the field.

They also attended the annual overdose vigil, where they heard powerful stories from families who have lost loved ones and from individuals in recovery who are now giving back and supporting their local communities.

Appreciate the time spent on the ground and the commitment to understanding the realities of this work firsthand as we continue to work together to expand impact across the state.

Over the past year, The HOFFA Foundation has continued to meet people where they are and connect them to the right support at the right time through the HOFFA Helpline (866) 577-9810.

Here’s a snapshot of what that looked like:

📞 The HOFFA Helpline averages 1,250 calls per month, supported by 3 full-time team members who understand the recovery journey

🚗 511 free rides to treatment each month — over 6,000 rides annually

🏥 141 people connected directly to treatment facilities

🏠 10 people placed into the HOFFA House

🏡 34 people connected to other recovery residences

🆘 12 people linked to crisis services

👨‍👩‍👧 12 people connected with family peer support services

We are proud to remain facility center agnostic, ensuring every call is met without bias toward a specific provider, only focused on what’s right for each person in that moment.

Every call is a life, every connection is a step toward recovery.
