Well, there you have it. We will not be able to complete the swim portion and we will have to transition to a duathlon.

- 1 Mile ***run (out and back village rd likely but will update with definitive course)
- 10 mile bike course, as planned
- 5k run, as planned

Teams can re work as needed and can use any 2 or 3 person configuration.

Apologies to all participants as I know this is likely very disappointing for some.

However, we will continue to make this the best event we can!! And thank you for your understanding 🙏

If we are unable to use the water on Saturday, the race will transition to duathlon structure and will be:
- 1 mile run (wave start)
- 10 mile bike
- 3.1 mile run

This will be for both the individual and team events.

I will update on water quality and test/retest plan the moment I hear!!

I'm sure some of you have seen that Surry park is under bacteria restriction for the water.

We are connected with park staff and the plan is currently as follows:

- normal weekly re test Monday, results Tuesday. We hope this will pass and if it does, we are good to go for the race.

If it doesn't, we will update with next steps.

Please do the clear-water-for-triathlon-dance, whatever that might look like! 🤞
