We're putting the finishing touches on our parking lot improvements!
On Friday, June 12, the remaining sections of the WHAM parking lot will be blacktopped in the morning. During this work, the side and rear parking areas will be closed and unavailable for vehicle access.
The project will be completed in time for our Kind of Blue Reception on Saturday, June 13, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our improved parking area.

🎨 Meet the Artist: Diane Freeman

We love highlighting the talented people who make WHAM the creative home it is. Diane has been part of our community for more than ten years and even calls WHAM her "happy place"!

Diane shared a bit about her artistic journey with us:

🖌️ How it started:
Diane began drawing at a very early age, driven by a strong desire to capture what she was seeing and preserve it as a visual memory.

🎨 Favorite medium:
While she works in many different art mediums, watercolor is her favorite because it continually challenges and inspires her.

❤️ What she loves about WHAM:
WHAM has been Diane's happy place for over a decade—a welcoming community where artists of all ages and experience levels come together to create, learn, and inspire one another.

💡 Advice for beginners:
"Have fun!" Diane encourages new artists not to be so serious, to take classes, and to attend Open Studio. Above all, she reminds us to allow ourselves to make mistakes because that's how we learn.

We're grateful for artists like Diane who bring creativity, inspiration, and joy to the WHAM community.
