ARTISAN STATEMENT: Using all FabMo fabrics, my work includes a variety of pet portraits from cozy pillows to greeting cards and small zippered bags. Each piece is handcrafted using the designer fabrics available from FabMo. FabMo has been a wonderful source of fabrics, leathers and notions used in my pieces, providing endless inspiration!

CREATIONS: Purses, Totes, Leather Purse Ornaments and Accessories
ARTISAN STATEMENT: I design and make one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly, purses and structured shoulder-bag totes; most featuring either a vintage needlepoint or English horse brass. I’ve also recently added a line of leather purse ornaments and accessories.
All of the fabrics I use, and most of the leathers (other than the repurposed leather belts I use for straps) come from FabMo. Because every purse I make is different, I need to keep a large stock of durable fabrics on hand, and in a broad range of colors and patterns. At FabMo, I’ve been able to find most of the materials I need, at a price that has helped me to do that, and to grow my small business, Bagnitude.

CREATIONS: Purses and Jewelry
ARTISAN STATEMENT: Kathy Bonte has been getting inspiration from FabMo’s cornucopia of treasures for over a dozen years and is particularly fond of its versatile and beautiful leathers, which she cuts, stamps, shapes, paints and embosses into lightweight necklaces, earrings and cuffs. More recently, she has become obsessed with FabMo’s smaller glass tiles as well. She views each tiny glass square as a miniature canvas-ready to receive a design and become part of a larger wearable creation.
Kathy complements her FabMo treasures with other scavenged materials whenever possible to further minimize her environmental footprint, utilizing upcycled aluminum and more recently, wood scraps from a friend’s cabinet-making business.

ARTISAN STATEMENT: I like to use the textured fabrics I get from FabMo because it brings a sensory experience to each toy. Each toy is handcrafted by me and with its own unique personality that hopefully will bring smiles and a fun time to a kid or adult. I started sourcing my toy fabrics from FabMo over 5 years ago. Once a year or so I go get new textures that inspire new creations. I work in healthcare and making toys is a hobby I enjoy sharing.
